I had the Fenix 5X for 3 years and had no issues with it, at all. I wanted to get more features, that the new garmin Fenix 7 has, so I ordered it online from REI and received it in 2 days. the watch is working great and the new features are awesome. had no problem upgrading the app from my old watch to this one. I love that I can use my cell phone to add information to the watch app's

Does everything but tell time

I saved for a year to buy the highly anticipated new Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar. I set up the watch as Garmin instructed and the features on it are absolutely amazing. The battery life is out of this world too! However, my watch does not tell time correctly and pixelates the time after a new minute or hour has passed. It does this on multiple watch faces. Tried contacting customer service for Garmin which has been nothing but frustrating. They can't figure out why it does this. They first asked me to download a new watch face, which didn't solve the issue. They asked me to download beta software to solve it which didn't download properly. Now they want me to send the device back to them and wait another 2 months for an exchange or pay $540 to keep the device while I wait for a new one to be available. I have had the watch 4 days, and have spent over 9 hours problem solving this device. If you get a functioning watch, enjoy the amazing device. If yours does not work, good luck because I understand the pain you are about to endure with it.

It could be better, with the images and brightnes

I had it for 2 weeks now for that price I should be able to See the images in small and with a good quality the touch screen would be nice if it had left right, right left, be able to access the option more quickly.

Perfect Watch!

At first I was sceptical about getting the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar. After I received the watch I have been very pleased. The watch has so many features and apps that you can load to the watch. I mainly use the watch for working out. I do a lot of rowing indoors and was surprised to see a app that worked with my Concept 2 rower. I also use it for pack hiking and like all the features that you can change to make watch screen you want or need My favorite feature is the battery life averaging 18 days with 100% backlite and lots of features turned on. I highly recommend the Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar.

I am not sure...frustrating

I absolutely love my Garmin products and believe they are the best on the market. Over the years, I've owned the Fenix 3, Fenix 5, Fenix 6, and now the Fenix 7, which I received for my birthday in November 2023. The new features and updates on the Fenix 7 are fantastic and have really impressed me. However, I've been facing a significant issue with the Fenix 7 that has been quite disappointing. I keep losing Bluetooth connection with the device. I've tried almost everything to resolve this problem, but nothing seems to work. It's very frustrating because I rely on my watch 24/7, only taking it off to charge. Despite my love for Garmin products and the many strengths of the Fenix 7, this persistent Bluetooth connectivity issue is a major drawback. I hope Garmin addresses this issue soon because it detracts from an otherwise excellent experience.

The Best watch for real runners!

This is my 5th Fenix in the lineup and it's amazing! The latest software and the LED light have become invaluable to me! The LED has saved me from some close calls with inattentive drivers while running in the dark, I would not like to be without it at this point. I'm tied into the Apple ecosystem for everything else and tried to force the AW Ultra to fit into my fitness life, but it just can't compare the the real utility of the Fenix, so it went right back to Apple. We have enough distracting from electronics these days, and I really don't want a beeping constant barrage of notifications pulling for my attention all day. The Fenix gives just enough, but not too much in the way of phone interaction. I truly hope that the Fenix line-up and Garmin never go anywhere, because the physical buttons, robust build, good looks, battery life and amazing fitness guidance are the best in the market!

Just buy it

I was so scared of the size. It’s honestly not bad at all. Get yourself a nylon band and you don’t even notice the thing. If you’re into maps and all that jazz, having the 51mm screen is essential because it’s still kinda hard to see. I can’t imagine map viewing on a smaller Fenix watch. The flashlight is also a huge perk. I use it multiple times a day. The only bad thing I’d have to say about the watch is I’m not used to the size. I’m a clumsy guy and Im constantly banging this thing on doorways and tables and such. I accidentally whacked this thing pretty good walking through a doorway and got a tiny tiny white scuff on the watch case. all the other times I’ve hit this thing the watch has held up well. I just ordered a screen protector cause this thing is my baby now and I don’t want anything to happen to her. Moral of the story, don’t be scared. If you have the money and you’re considering it, do it. Battery lasts me about a week with always on display and about an hour of gps w/music per day. That’s pretty darn good if you ask me.

Highly unreliable.

As so many have found, this watch crashes if you push it. I've had mine for a week, updated to latest software, created a course and tried to navigate on a hike. The watch geo-bricked about 10 steps in...I had to leave it off for the whole hike and luckily had other nav options. I just got off the phone with Garmin support and reproduced the problem after deleting everything, resetting, and recreating the course. The watch crashed as before after changing Hike pages, so support said "return it and try a new watch"...which I will try, once. But my guess is the same thing will happen with that one too. Completely unacceptable for a thousand dollar item.

Great watch with a LOT of features

I've had this watch for two weeks. So far, it has been awesome. I had a Venu sq2 from when I was mostly swimming. But my son's scout troop does a lot of backpacking, so I needed a watch more suitable to that sport. Battery life has been awesome. I got 2-3 days with my Venu, which is fine when I'm at home, I could go weeks with this one, especially with the solar screen. Menu setup is more complex than my Venu, but it is intuitive. I did like the ability to set my own button 'hot keys' so that I could control it the way I want to and what makes sense for me. Looking forward to trying it out on our next backpack expedition

Nice Upgrade!

I have had my Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire for about 4 weeks. Nice upgrade over my old Apple Watch. Out of the biz it had a good charge and easy to sync with my IPhone. Struggling with learning the usage of many features. Instructions that came with it were pretty much useless-thank goodness for YouTube! Love the extended battery life. I am a recent Cardiac Arrest Survivor and I am using my new watch to keep on the journey of recovery and better health. The ability to change the watch face to monitor my heart rate is so awesome and easily viewed during my workouts. Great Job Garmin and cheers to better health!!
