Excellent!
I have worn these pants multiple times since I received them about 3 weeks ago. I have not used them for snow sports, but I have used them as waterproof pants through multiple, soggy atmospheric river events in Seattle while walking my pups and hiking. Each time, my average is about 9 miles a day, and the pants have kept my legs dry each time. Importantly, the pants are light, breathable, and slightly baggy, so I have felt very comfortable and not humid or like there is a plastic bag around my legs. Overall, the pants have performed exactly as I had hoped. The pants fit slightly baggy, so I could have bought the next size down (small), but this is ok because I can layer in colder weather or snow. I have washed the pants many times now using gentle cycle conditions, and they have held up well. Lastly of note, the manufacturer's sizing chart is confusing and should be updated. There are 6 waist sizes listed in the manufacturer's chart, but the sizes listed in the chart do not show whether the sizes correspond to small, medium, large, etc. I spoke to an REI representative over the phone to find out what waist size corresponded to small or medium, and the rep did not know for sure either. The rep did some research for me on the manufacturer's website. After about 5 minutes of poking around the website, and without a definitive conclusion, we figured out what size I should buy. What I ordered turned out ok, but I could probably have bought one size smaller. The manufacturer's sizing chart still hasn't been updated, and unfortunately, it has been too long since I ordered and cannot remember for sure (I believe M was waist size 32), so you will have to guess or do some research on your own!
