Very waterproof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a follow up from my first review after using these pants though the winter. I carry them with me almost all the time. They roll up to the size of a nalgene so they are always in my bag. The full zip is really convenient for getting into them with different types of shoes. So far I’ve never had them seep through and I’ve biked through some heavy Oregon downpours. The also worked great xc skiing over my tights as a lightweight waterproof layer when it was snowing. The full zip was very convenient to put them on with skis on my feet. I found the zippers hard to use with gloves or cold fingers so I added some cord to them, but that was an easy fix.

Great Pants But Waaay Too Long

Really wanted to like these. I have an older pair with partial leg zips and a drawstring. Loved the full-zip putting them on and could navigate the lack of drawstring by tightening the velcro a bit, but they are super long. I'm 5' 9" w/ a 30" inseam, and the size large extended inches past my boot soles. I measured about them at about 33".

Great waterproof pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore these on a six day hikenin Iceland. They were comfortable and waterproof. The ability to unzip the legs all the way up meant that I could get them on/off without taking my hiking boots off. This was a bonus. Great pants

Excellent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t use rain pants often, but I’m occasionally really happy to have them. These are lightweight, but the full length zippers do add some bulk. Full zip is a rare feature in this price range and was the main reason I got them. They’re easy to get on and off, even with boots and crampons, although I would practice a couple times before you actually get caught in a storm. I’m sort of between sizes in regards to length, I think I would choose the shorter one next time. But I’m not wearing these for style so it’s also not a big deal if they bunch up a bit near my boot.

The absolute best rain pants

I bought my first pair in 2017 and have traveled around the world with these things. I also live in Alaska when not traveling and I've worn them like crazy. I'm a climbing arborist and have worn them in torrential downpours while climbing trees. They've obviously taken a lot of punishment over the last 6 years. I've had zero issues with them. I finally ripped through the crotch area while climbing a fence and that's the only place they leak. I repaired them but love them so much that I finally ordered a second pair for when these are toast.

Great, light waterproof pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for both men’s and womenswear’s. I bought these men’s pants for both my husband and son, and also 2 pair of the women’s PreCip Eco Pants for myself. We live in Alaska and it’s always wet here. We wear these on rainy days, on hikes/trails and they never disappointed us. They fit great, are lightweight, and reliable. I wear mine with a pain of leggings underneath for warmth and they still have plenty of room. They cover your shoes/boots well, too. We are all very happy with this purchase and recommend them!

Men's PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pants misaligned zipper

The zipper chain was installed and sewn in incorrectly and is misaligned which causes the zipper on the right side at the waist unable to close properly. The zipper teeth do not match up evenly and are off one or two matching zipper teeth. I did not force the zipper to close because I can see possible breakage of the zipper or zipper teeth if forced. This is unfortunate so I will need to return the Men's PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pants to Marmot. Clearly not like Marmot but I guess mistakes happen.

Great pants - bad sizing - read for sizing input

I am 240 lbs, atheltic big build almost 6'2" tall. I was suggested to buy the XL-Long variation of the pants based on my waist, height and build. I am going through a replacement process now with Marmot - I really need the large - regular length because the pants are too large for me (hardly sitting on my waist), and the length is way to long. Better for someone that's 6'3+. Thank you to customer service for patiently listening to my issues and helping me get a replacement - on the way!

Great pants with a lining that probably won't last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a great pair of rain pants for adding over another pair of pants. The lining will eventually rot like my old Marmot rain jacket, but I have accepted the fact these pants won't last forever, given the price. These kept me dry during two downpours so far. If the Minimalist Pant would have fit me (why no drawstring?!), I would have gladly paid a bit more for the higher quality lining. However, the full zip really is great for adding over a pair of pants or shorts on the go.

Good, light pant against rain and wind.

I bought this pant for a trip to Iceland last week. It rained most days. I wore this pant (and a rain jacket). The pant worked well - keep the rain out and protect against the cold wind. My only complaint is that I found it is not easy to put the pants on with the side zips all the way out (while wearing shoes), as I had to pull the zip from the top down, and the pant just fits me. I decided to keep the side zips on, and just wore it like a pant without shoes.
