Only Hardshell for all my needs

The OR Headwall with full zipper represent a masterclass in technical apparel design. Their ability to seamlessly transition for me between mountaineering and snowboarding, coupled with their impressive weight-to-strength ratio, makes them an indispensable asset for serious outdoor enthusiasts. These pants are a testament to the fact that performance and versatility can coexist without compromise. I love the full zipper for putting on overtop of crampons or allowing for additional airflow on steep climbs when getting a little warm. The fit true to size. I wear a medium in most OR pants and went with a large to wear overtop of other gear. Because of sizing up I would recommend going with your true size

Versatile pants

Just got these pants to replace a 20yr old pair of EMS GORE-TEX XCR pants that have been amazing. Overall these pants seem great. Right length, enough room for mountaineering AND ski boots! Only thing I'd add is an internal gator, or maybe a small hook for laces. However, at 5'9" and 183 lbs... the medium is tight in the waist. Now, this is adjustable with playing around with the side zippers, but if you wear a size 33-34 in jeans a large might be a better fit, although, for my height the extra .5 inches in length is a no go. So, I'll suck-it-in... ;-)

Nice, but long

Like others, I really wish it came in lengths other than regular / 32" inseam. I usually wear a size M (waist 32"-34") and "short" inseam (30"). While they fit okay in the waist, they are too long in the inseam. They're okay to wear with mountaineering boots and the cuffs buttoned because that will keep them up on the boot, but they still look a bit baggy in the leg. High quality item otherwise. I've had a few hard-shell GTX pants over the years, and these are by far the nicest. Just wish they came in different lengths.

ridiculously long inseam

5'10", 30" inseam. These (32" inseam) are more like a 36" or 38" inseam. I have to reverse cuff them until they reach the top of my ski boots. If you don't cuff them, the full zipper becomes an annoying accordion/snake on the side of your entire leg (and it looks ridiculous). For reference, my 30" inseam OR Ferrosis fit more like a 31" inseam. This is way worse. I don't think these would fit anyone under 6'3".

Dry, warm, and convenient zip off pants

Very waterproof and high functioning zipper. Materials are high quality and I trust these pants to keep me warm and dry in very cold and wet conditions. Sometimes my mobility does feel a bit restricted when taking larger steps, but this may be a feature in all full zip pants, since the zipper is taking away space for flexible and stretchy material. All in all, great pants!

Nice pants, but...

Nice pants but way too long. I got the mediums due to my waist/inseam that i have been using for the past 30 years to purchase pants. I'm 5' 7" 160 lb and my pant size is 32/32. They are at least 1.5" - 2' too long and at least 1" too big in the waist. They definitely run big. I'll be returning them and trying a small.

Nice, but.....

Beautifully constructed but longer than advertised. No good option to fold or cinch down the pants at the bottom. Also, why wouldn't OR offer their flagship pants in short, reg, long?
