These are the casual rain pants you need.
I was looking for a longer raincoat than my Torrentshell and the employee told me to try these pants as a solution instead. Wow! They are super comfy for rain gear, the zips and snaps are functional and easy to use. I keep them handy at all times for when rain hits. The pants turned me on to other OR gear as the brand has a great value proposition and everything works exactly as intended.

I purchased these because a friend let me borrow his to guide a very rainy hike. I was so impressed, I just needed to order them. It's not often a product works as described, but these do. Waterproof, comfortable, easy to get on and off with boots on. So far, I am happy with the quality. I recommend these for anyone looking for this type of rainwear. Fits true to the sizing chart.
Review after multi-day horse riding trip
I used these rain trousers for a summer iceland horse riding trip and they did the job. They where sturdier than I though. kept me dry and warm (temp 30F + 50 mph wind). So they are everything the description said (light, windproof, rainproof) and quite resistant. I used them with suspenders to make sure they stayed in place
REI failed to deliver.
I wish I had these rain pants. REI cancelled my order due to an "unexpected inventory issue"
