Winter Snow Kickers
Have had these for 3 weeks now and put then through 4 days of ice/snow use. The Artic Grip is like velcro to ice. The only time I had any sense of lose traction actually came stepping back onto cement from being on ice. They also "knock-out" and shed snow build up decently from the grooves. I read a review aboutvthe eyelite style and was hesitant. I actually greatly prefer this style of lacing. When you pull laces tight it slides like butter. The only hesitation I have is loop durability but ive had other Oboz in the past and this hasn't been an issue. Overall is you need a stylish cozy winter boot that can perform it fits the bill.
Unsafe, fall hazard
Long story short I fell hard on my butt wearing these shoes due to a design flaw. I bought these today and I really liked them. I was getting my daughter out of her car seat, holding her. Went to take a step and could not move my right foot. I fell uncontrolled to the ground holding my daughter so I could not even brace myself and ended up on my back in the parking lot. The loop on the back of the right shoe got snagged on the open shoestring hook on the front of the left shoe. I’m sure this will happen to other people and I recommend REI remove this product from their shelves and Oboz does a safety recall.
Great winter Boot
I was looking for a boot that would perform well in all types of New England winter weather, cold, snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain. These boots are awesome, kept my warm and dry, even in subzero temperatures. The traction was also great on slippery paved surfaces, dirt roads and like trails.
Kept my feet warm and dry
These shoes kept my feet warm and dry while trudging through snow recently in Lake Tahoe. Despite the cold temperatures, the shoes, combined with thermal socks, kept my feet warm without having to resort to foot warmers. Order a size larger to accommodate heavy thermal socks.
Boots to go
Old winter boots rubber outside cracked open. Replacement with these required to continue trip. Warm and comfortable.
Great boots
Great snow boots. They’re light, work great in wet and dry snow, look good, and are easy to put on and take off.
