Nice tall warm boot
Nice TALL winter boot. They're perfect for slipping on to take out the trash/get the mail, shoveling the driveway/walks, chores, playing in the snow, etc. I wouldn't wear them hiking/snowshoeing long distances (too heavy and you can't dial in the fit like you can with laced boots) but for shorter wears they are great. They're super tall. Unlike the Bogs Bozeman, this doesn't have the handles along the cuff so it's truly a tall boot. Nice for wading through deep snow. If you don't get deep snow or water or mud, these would be overkill. I have a wider footbed (I prefer to run in Altras!) and these fit my wide footbed nicely. The fit is snug. I usually wear a size 10.5. These only come in whole sizes so I sized up upon recommendation of a few other reviews (so as to leave room for thick socks) but I found that the size down was better for me. The 11s were slipping off my heal, even with thick socks. The 10's fit more snuggly but still had sufficient room for thick socks. They have nice lugs to aid in traction, HOWEVER, they still are a little slippery sometimes on smooth, wet concrete. So I wouldn't say these have "good" traction on smooth surfaces. I know the traction is a complaint with all rubber/neoprene boots in general and this model attempts to give more traction than its peers, but be forewarned: it's still a rubber boot and the sole still is not as "sticky" as the sole of, say, a hiking boot. Not sure why the boot makers haven't figured this one out yet. For that reason, docking this a star. But still a good tall, warm boot.

Poorly made boot
I use these as slip ons in the winter, for working in my wet woods, and on cold season canoe trips. With these I replaced an old pair of Bogs that lasted four years before developing leaks. With the new pair, the left boot almost immediately had a slow leak with prolonged wading. Then last week on a canoe trip to the Boundary Waters, both boots developed rather large leaks on the same day. Bogs are cheaply made boots that will be fine for light duty, but if you put them through much stress they'll soon fail.

Very warm, easy to put on snow boot

Bought these boots for rain and snow. They are easy to put on. There is a slight ledge on the inside at the heal to help them from slipping. They are durable and have decent tread to keep from slipping. They are crazy warm!

Comfortable, light weight, strong traction characteristics.

While I do not have any harsh weather wear time on these yet. I am impressed by them on several fronts. For reference I ordered and tried 5 different pairs of boots (Bogs, Muck & Noble Outfitters) before choosing to keep these. 1. Fit/comfort - these are by far the best fitting and smallest foot print. Not as big or clunky as many others are. 2. Weight - Clearly noticed this right off, and it will be beneficial in mud, heavy snow and when using them for hunting treks. 3. Flexible - They flex like a hiking or sneaker which I feel aids in natural walking feel and will also aid in helping with footing and traction. 4. Sole design - The only one of the 5 that made me confident they would provide adequate traction on ice, mud & snow.

Love these. My new go to.

These are my first set of Bogs. I've owned several other brands of winter boots. Living in North Idaho I've been disappointed by traction from many other brands. Once I started wearing my Bogs I've been so happy with traction in snow and on ice. I think just about the only negative I can say is they only come in whole sizes not half...but where I normally wear a 10.5, the 11's I ordered have been fantastic. I bought my wife and son a pair. Now my daughter wants some. Absolutely love these and I think I will look at some other models as time goes on.

Not warm!

I don't know where they get the minus 40 degrees claim. I wore my new boots yesterday in 25 degrees *above* (Fahrenheit) with medium weight wool socks, and within 45 minutes my toes were starting to get cold. Overall the boots feel reasonably comfortable, but where's the insulation? I was expecting *warm* boots, but feel deceived. What's going to happen when the temperature really gets cold? For this reason, I can't recommend these.

Lightweight, fitted, agile deigned boot!

I love these boots. They fit great, and I love the design and feel of the bottom soul of these. They are also light for a big boot. I've tried them at around 30F and I was comfortable with a mid-weight sock. The construction seems good. I've tried on a lot of different boots like these, but most do not impress me. They are clunky/heavy and sloppy. These are the exact opposite. Light, agile, fitting, and stylish on top of it all.
