Once you get your foot in them they really are war
I needed some footwear to keep my feet warm to watch a January football game with temps in the mid 20s. I had only 3 days to find boots and REI had these in the store. With a thick pair of Smartwool socks my feet were warm for a 1.5 mile walk from a parking garage, a picnic style dinner outside, a 3 hour NFL game in the cheap seats, and the walk back to the car at midnight. They are somewhat difficult to get your foot into the boot that might get easier as they are broken in. Once in though, feet stay warm. Haven't tested the waterproofness of the boots but did do a lot of deeper snow walking to break them in prior to the game with no issues. Would be a 4.5 star rating if that was an option. Minus .5 for the difficult entry.
Awesome pair of winter boots
Awesome winter boots. Great grip for snowy surfaces. It mitigates sliding on ice. I lived too many years with a pair of tland brand boots and what a fool I was. Great product, keeps my feet warm at low temps as well. Haven't tested durability but so far they have hole up a good usage this winter.
Look great but poor performance
Happy with the look of these boots but feet got cold after a few minutes of standing in the snow. Really wanted to like these boots but taking them back.
Amazing Find
I purchased these via REI Garage Sale on a whim because I was unhappy with my winter boots and willing to try anything. As a woman I am constantly disappointed in the quality of women’s shoes and figured it may be smart to try a men’s pair. I have been extremely impressed with these boots and how warm they keep my feet. I pair them with wool socks and have never had an issue - even in Northern MN! 10/10 find.
chosen as a going away to college gift
IDK. I asked my friend's son what practical gift he needed for H.S. graduation/ going away to college. He needed new snow boots and chose these. They fit his size 13 foot and he likes the look. His mother approved the quality and fit. I was happy that they were on sale. We can't rate it for cold , snow or comfort yet.
Well, these boots did teach me something new
When it comes to boots, there are Men’s sizes and Women’s sizes. There are also, apparently. Elf sizes. In no populated universe are these size 12 Men’s boots.
