This is first time I bought ASICS shoes. I'm impressed with comfort and fitness.
Honestly I don't know how Asics continues to deliver such high end UBER comfortable footwear. I thought my Noosa 13's we're my most comfortable sneakers to date but these are a notch above those in terms of comfort. The Blast comes with breathable stretch and a comfy knit upper and what looks like 3 layers of cushioning with a thick layer of FF Blast foam in the midsole, gel inserts in the heel and outer fore-foot AND a plastic orange torsion plate sandwiched in between for a bit of rigidity I'm guessing because the foam cushioning is so thick. When I first pulled these out of the box they looked a bit BIG and even thought I may have to go down a half size which "may" be the case for others. I've worn these for a few days now and I'm absolutely loving them for walking around all day at work. My feet feel comfortable for multiple hours and not so fatigued at the end of the day when I have these on. These are PERFECT for anyone on their feet for long periods of time or are just looking for a cool looking comfy sneaker.
When I saw Kinsei's launch I feel it would be a comfortable shoes for my everyday and it is. Lot's of firm cushion (not smooth like the the Nimbus) and nice design. I'd been using them for 3 weeks and I feel how the Gel works and gives you protection and comfort.
What happens when you throw everything, and the kitchen sink at a running shoe? Well, you get the Asics Kinsei Blast. Critical foam? Check. Plate? Check. Knit upper? Check. AHAR+ outsole? Check. Stout heel counter? Check. Gel? Check. It’s probably one of my favorite running shoes. It’s stable. It’s bouncy. It’s cushioned. It’s just comfortable all around. I guess the only negative I could give it is the weight. It’s a tad on the heavier side, but I’ve ran in heavier shoes. It’s also a little on the warmer side, but it’s still not bad. It’s like they took a Novablast v.1 with the knit upper, added a plate for stability (because that Novablast was kinda unstable), and added some Gel for shock protection. That’s what it feels like. It’s hard to say who it’s competitors would be. Adidas Ultraboost 21? I’d pick the Kinsei Blast. It’s an odd shoe that’s just enjoyable to go for a run in… just go for a run. No speed workouts or anything. Just you, some music, maybe just listen to the birds (or traffic, wherever you live) in just keep striding along without care. That’s the Kinsei Blast.
I love the shoe, great support for running, excellent bounce. I can feel a huge difference with these shoes compared to other running shoes in terms of support for my joints
These shoes are so smooth. Really comfortable. I’m getting another pair now.
Really impressed with this shoe, I love it super comfortable
Loved the look of this shoe, after wearing kayano for years, just haven't liked the last couple of versions. Most recently ran with the gt2000, but was looking for an upgrade. So far, have loved the kinsei. Certainly has added more rebound in my stride, and I was able to run one of my best times ever in this shoe....whether that has anything to do with it or not. Did take a couple runs to break in, as it felt narrow at first, but nothing that would keep me from buying another pair. So far, I feel like this shoe will live up to the price point.
Know your feet! IMO, this is the most important shoe purchasing issue. Aasics shoes, have always been my go to. If you know your running/walking style, along with the anatomy of your foot, Aasics will have a shoe for you. The Kinsei Blast works for me, having a high arch and neutral gait along with beat up toes. This shoe is great, given the fact the curvature design is supportive of all of those issues and keeps this old Veteran moving!
I was training for marathon with NB Fresh Foam 1080 V10. I like the shoes but I got injured a lot, way too easily. I gave up running. I switched to Kinsei Blast when the 2022 one came out. Reduced injury significantly. Practically eliminated all injuries. I have been training consistently for 3 months now on Kinsei Blast. Make running possible for me! I have been healthier and stronger. I am very thankful! Thank you!!!
