I'm obsessed with this line, since they always release such lovely patterns and colors--have received tons of compliments on their style. I have 5 sets of tops/bottoms already. They run small, so size up at least 1 size. I'm usually a size 0-2 in tops and 2-4 in pants, but in Kari Traa I wear size S top and size M pants (and both of those are still form fitting). I wear them for camping, hiking, snowboarding, winter walks/runs, even sleeping when it's cold. I use them for layering under other clothes for outdoor activities. They are well made and have held up beautifully. So far after several years and dozens of uses I haven't seen any signs of wear: no pilling, holes, thin spots, loose elastic on the pants, or pulled threads. Definitely recommend.
Hear me out... Unlike most of the other reviewers, I actually hated all of the patterns offered. Basics, solids, and neutrals are my go to! However, I am so glad I took a chance on these. Despite still not loving the crazy patterns, they are great at keeping warm! I layered them under thin climbing pants for a weekend climbing trip where the weather ranged from 30s-50s. I rarely felt like my legs were cold! They fit snug but stretch in all the right places. The only thing is that they are a little long, but that's not a huge concern for me! Highly recommend!!
I love Kari Traa base layers and have quite a collection so I was surprised and very disappointed to find that these bottoms aren't even wearable. The waistline is so far below my waist that they feel like they're falling off. I wore them for a hike but won't ever wear them again.
I ordered this set in my normal Kari Traa size large (I’m actually a medium in most other brands including Spyder and Obermeyer). They were both TINY. Could barely get the top over my chest. The bottoms were laughably low rise. For reference I’m 5’10” and the length was great. Beautiful print. I’m going to try the XL and hope that works. So anyway, order at least one size up!
I ordered this base layer in a size large & they were too short in the rise & felt like a small. I loved the print & was hoping I could wear them with a big white shirt & use them in 2 ways! No luck here! I was so disappointed because I loved the print! Be very careful with sizing if you order them.
Beautiful fabric but the rise is too short even though, being in-beween sizes, I ordered a size up. Sadly, I will be returning these.
I have a couple pairs of these long underwear and size medium fits great, if not a little roomy. I ordered a size medium in this print and they were incredibly small. I returned for a large and the large wasn’t much bigger than the medium! What happened to the sizing???
Love the material and print (thin and soft) but... They are low rise and run small. I looked like I was wearing child's leggings. So size up!
I bought the top and bottoms and did an early March Grand Canyon backpacking trip with them. (2023 and crazy amounts of snow.) They are snug fitting and a bit long on the bottoms. The snugness meant my layering wasn't adversely affected. They are also quite beautiful.
Very nice fabric, beautiful pattern, but way too small. I bought in store and thought they should fit. Wish I had read the reviews first! I thought the fabric would be stretchier, but it isn't. I bought them on sale, and it seems I can't return them now, either. Bummer.
