The base layer is in good quality and true HIGH waists. The wool is not scratchy, pattern and color are nice. Sizing and fit is as expected. Overall it’s a good piece of base layer. I returned it as it is higher waist than I wanted. I bought it as a base layer for skiing and I feel the high waist add too much bulk. I m 5’3 and the waist band goes up to where my sports bar ends. To me that’s too high waist for my liking, but if u r taller that might work better for u.

Great 3/4 baselayer with soft wool

I love my Kari Traa full length baselayer from last year so I thought I'd try the 3/4 length for skiing. I love the length and the weight and the super soft, non-scratchy wool. It works for my large, athletic calves as well. What I don't like is that the waist is extremely high when compared to the pair I got last year. I measured it and it is almost 2 inches higher.
