Great for multiterrain hikes

The perfect shoe I was looking for to hike Havasupai! They are sturdy enough to withstand currents and rocky terrain. The laces are different, although easy to manage. I tightened them and then knotted them so they stayed at my desired fit. Otherwise I’m sure you can cut and take off the black piece to make regular laces. Highly recommend for amphibious adventures!

I Love Them So Much I Bought a Backup Pair

These are so great they've turned me in to a Merrell fan for life. I have used them all day every day for summer hiking for about 2 months and the shoes, including the soles, look EXACTLY the same as the day I bought them. They are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing shoes, even on the first day. I am not joking when I say I bought a backup pair; the backup pair is going in storage because I'm going to be so sad when they these wear out. I hope they make these for several years. The only drawback is walking on sand dunes or beaches because of the ventilation - sand will definitely invade. I got a pair of waterproof Merrells for sand walking.

I just purchased these shoes today. They are very comfortable and super breathable. I am using these for when I go on my cruise as hiking and water shoes. My only complaint is that the black on the shoes is already worn and the color has faded. Haven’t had these shoes for 24 hours

Bought the pink version for an overseas trip. They’re light weight and super comfortable. Great for wearing on rainy days as they dry super quickly too.

I do a lot of hiking/walking in rivers and recently switched from Columbia Drainmakers to these. The Wildwood aerosports are much less comfortable, both underfoot and at the heel, which is causing blisters even for short walks. These shoes are made for water, but are unable to be worn without socks which makes no sense. Also the lace holes closest to the ankles, which could possibly help alleviate the heel issue, are inaccessible because of the drawstring laces. This has been an incredibly disappointing purchase.

Cute, comfortable, quick-drying, no time needed for breaking in! The Wildwood Aerosport has great traction and is perfect for scrambling on rocks in and beside rivers and swimming holes. The only knock I found was that the mesh holes are large enough to let in tons of sand and small pebbles, so that slowed me down. Wearing neoprene socks helped with not feeling the pebbles inside the shoe though, and this wouldn't be an issue if using the shoes for the pool or on soft sand beaches.

I got these for hot Texas summer hikes. My feet stay cool and toes protected. They are great for hiking on moderate trails. I got them so I could follow my dog through creek crossings, too. They are great on pebble trails, muddy trails and paved. I’ve even ran in them a little and my 51 year old knees are fine. They do collect water in the toes and absorb water in the sole but dry out after they are removed. They are not water shoes but work well on hikes where there is water on hot summer days!

I bought these for summer walks on the city trails, wanted lots of air flow for the hot humid days, and other reviews indicated that they were perfect for those conditions. Very comfortable, not too tight, the shoe allows lots of toe movement and fits true to my size 8.5. Soles thick enough to give enough support, and not too chunky. Only I chose to use regular laces in them and removed the elastic tie closure, the laces give me added stability and support.

This is my second pair of these since I found the pink/red color on sale. But the laces are too long for me too. I’m considering cutting them or replacing them with a regular lace. Has anyone tried this. Love the mesh though. I had another similar mesh merrel tennis shoe years ago and wore them till they fell apart. Great for hiking in the dessert
