I was looking for a pair of climbing pants with a little different shape than the AP pants, one that still felt light and stretchy and durable too. These were the answer. They taper at the ankles (so you can actually see your feet!), unlike some Prana pants I have. The thighs are more athletically shaped as well. The pants feel great when climbing inside and out, can be layered if cold, and have a drawstring waist inside as well as a button waist. They also look good after climbs when you’re at the bar replenishing lost calories. Highly recommend these pants. I’ve searched for months for something like this, and now I need to buy all the colors!
Do not hesitate at all when ordering these pants. I have used them for climbing, hiking, skydiving, traveling, road-trips, lounge days, and they are definitely classy enough to wear out in town. They are light, breathable, very flexible, and put up with the abrasions of the rock face well. After posting this review I am ordering two more pairs, and they are worth it. No complaints or improvements at all. Would love to see in a further variety of colors. (Male, 5'9'', 180lbs, athletic build, 32 waist. Ordered 32/32 fits perfectly. Leg ends right at my ankle, perfect for active use, but not so high that it's weird to wear as a normal pant with leisure shoes.
I’ve recently purchase these pants for work I’m an outdoor enthusiast and I needed pants that could take being on the move all day and have as must flexibility as possibly and lastly let my legs breathe... and these have done that they are extremely light and durable they only slight problem is I’m a smaller guy so pants were a tad big even getting the smallest available size for example the waists was perfect but the inseam wasn’t enough but they don’t look bad at all on me and they do the job so it’s not a problem I’d buy them absolutely again
I bought one pair of these pants just to give them a try because I believed them to be what I was looking for in a comfortable piece of clothing for many functions. I was looking for something casual, something for multiple outdoor activities, and lastly lounging. I can say they are very comfortable for lounging (COVID quarantine) and they are well made. I would liken them to a pair of sweats in the comfort, at least to me. I lift weights and I don't skip leg day, and they are plenty roomy for me in the thighs and bottom. The fabric is a bit thinner than I expected but has a durable feel to it, and I will have to see how it holds up out in the field when I get the chance, hence my 4 of 5 rating for function. I liked the first pair so much that I ordered two more pair.
I love these pants— I have a pair in “Dark Storm” that I wear almost daily. They’re light and breathe well, and the fit is fantastic and won’t limit your movements. They do wrinkle quickly, but I’ve found you can soak them and hang them to dry overnight and they’ll look fine. They have lots of room in the seat, which is a blessing or a curse depending on your build. About 17” back rise, 10.5” on front. If you get wet or sweaty in these, btw, it’s very noticeable, and I often look like I’ve had an accident. “So what if I did?” The plus side is that they dry quickly. “Dunes” looks like a true khaki color in the photos, but in person it’s almost half khaki/half light grey, which I’m not crazy about, and I’ll probably return them. A great pair of pants overall, and would highly recommend.
I have many brands of the more popular climbing/ hiking pants. OR, BD, Marm.., PrA.., and I think these are my favorites. Great fabric: stretchy, breathable, rugged, normalish colors.(bought the rust and the dark bolt , which is more subtle yellowish-green in person) The fit is what I really like. I’m 5’10, 170 and a solid 32/32. Medium thighs. They are tapered at the ankles with the perfect length. I think I’ll order the blue now....
Everything about this pant seems spectacular save the fit. The tapered leg is a visual boon on the rock, and they transition well to a business casual look with loafers. The waist and thigh fit very well and I love the zippered security pocket for important personal items on the multipitch. However, as a true 30x32, I've never had a pant fit me so poorly in the butt area. There's a full on parachute blowing off my rump. It may be a byproduct of the full gusset construction - but I've never had this issue with fit in any full gusseted climbing pant in this same size, be it from Patagonia, Prana, Kuhl, or even Mountain HW. I'm not in the gym power squatting 400lb on the reg or anything, but I've got at least a normal situation going on down there. Very strange, and leaves me wanting the slightest adjustment so I can hang on to an otherwise great pair of leg sleeves.
Great pants! Tapered, but loose in the quad/ glute area for max movement. Very light, yet surprisingly wind resistant and warmer than expected. Buy a size up for enhanced room to wear over base-layer. Wish they had a zippered leg opening to pull over shoe- but I can have seamstress do that. I think these are a discontinued model- need to find out new version. Love MH! Amazing product, perfect fit, great look as well.
I ordered a pair of these, wore them for a day, and then ordered them in every other color! Classy looking but really comfortable, great stretch. I'm a female with curves, and men's pants don't often accommodate that, but these pants do. Much more breathable than expected, definitely very functional in hotter weather. They stretch out just enough but still hold their shape.
Love these pants. Wore them on a backpacking trip and they stood up well and dried quickly. Also, my son had a similar type of pants, he was complaining of getting stung by nettles but I had no problems with anything getting through mine. The fit is good, I lost a little weight getting ready for this trip and they rode a little low until I tucked in my shirt.
