So, I bought these to replace an older pair of hiking pants. They seem fine but for one minor major detail. There is no zippered fly on them. Seriously? What moron designed these without a zipper? Nice job! Well I guess it’s off to the local sporting good store tomorrow to find something that isn’t glorified sweatpants. I expected more.
These pants are very comfortable and the material is strong while still being fairly lightweight. My main gripe is the waistband. It either needs elastic or a functional fly A zipper on the thigh pocket or hand pockets would be nice, and I wish there was a 30" inseam option. With a fly or elastic and at least one more zippered pocket these would be a 5/5.
Really love the fit and movement of these pants while climbing. I've been complaining FOREVER that I can't find climbing pants that do not restrict movement, stretch enough, aren't too hot, etc. These really nail all of these perfectly. BUT. I'd love to climb multi, or just not drop my phone whenever I crouch down. Making that side drop-in pocket a zippered pocket would make these the ultimate climb pants!
These pants would be far better if they included a zipper fly and another zippered pocket. Having to drop your trousers to take a leak is not convenient.
I like the cut + articulated knees. No fly though - a dealbreaker for this guy
