Works well!

As someone who is used to having cold toes skiing I had kind of accepted as a fact of life, but new boots made them just that much colder. After having a few ski days cut short due to cold toes I bit the bullet, and bought these, yes the batteries are expensive and not included. I've had several very comfortable days, with them only running on setting 2/4. Last night it was 4F when I finished and would have bumped it up to 3/4 but I can say for certain I would have had to stop much sooner without these socks.

Battery costs $190!

I thought I was splurging on $99 heated socks, but that was only the beginning. It turns out the battery is $190. It would be nice if the description mentioned something about a special battery that was not included. Also, I ordered medium socks and got large. I think I'm going to go with the boot covers for $30, since I heard those work well for warmth. Will be returning these.

Socks Work!

I ride, and ride and ride. It is winter and when it goes under 25 my feet suffered. Got the socks and that burning hot pain from the cold was gone. Hotronic socks work! Yes, they ain't cheap but this one is for those that can't stand the wimpy Zwifters. Ride on!

misrepresenting product, batteries

My wife ordered a pair of the classic XLP socks on line, and went into the REI store in Williston, VT to get more info. The store in Williston did not tell my wife about the $190 price of batteries and charger. I want warm feet, but this is a misrepresented product, and the store person failed to mention the necessary pack. What a rip off.

Wiring should go over the top, not under the foot.

I love heated socks, and the thin version is better than the original thickness. Bu my biggest concern is that the wiring goes under the foot, potentially creating discomfort. The compression sock is also a little tight.

Doesn’t include batteries

I bought these to keep my feet warm riding my bike this winter. They came without any batteries! Now I find out the batteries cost $190. Really? I would never have bought them knowing this. Maybe it’s in the fine print somewhere, but I am really disappointed!

Did not keep feet warm

Bought to wear inside my waders when winter steelhead fishing in Idaho. Did not keep feet warm at all. I was much better off with 3 pairs of socks!
