perfect winter dress

Based on the previous reviews I was not sure if I was going to like it, particularly because I am quite picky about fabric. I love this dress - it is super cute on, has interesting neckline shape, and a nice drape. It has a zippered pocket along the right side seam that my iPhone 13 mini fits into (though when in the pocket noticeably messes with the shape, no surprise). The fabric is not itchy. It is substantial enough to be warm, without being stiff. the charcoal grey color is great - perfect neutral. Looks great with tights/leggings. I think I will be wearing this dress for years- it is a nice palette for all kinds of different stylings. I am 5'5, 120#, 34C. The small was to big, but the XS fits great.

Good for travel

I bought this for travel. Only having one pocket caused the downgrade to four stars. The shoulder seams did not lie flat, so I am hoping a washing will remedy that. The neckline is good for me, and it makes wearing scarves or statement necklaces easy. Personally, I like the heavier fabric, as I have other similar pieces in lighter weight for summer. Skinny pants or leggings will go with this perfectly.

comfortable

the material is smooth and structured (not flowy and soft, but not abrasive). it’s a good warm dress for winter (for me anyway). but the way it lays it’s a bit frumpy, so not terribly sexy. but I kept it because it’s comfortable and doesn’t show back fat. Let’s face it…. We just want to be comfortable sometimes (especially the older we get). I’m usually a size 12-14.

Timeless tunic..

Very nice plain classic dress. Knit material is thick and not clingy which for me was a plus. Looks great with tights or leggings. Neckline works well with bold jewelry. Fit was perfect.

Stiff stiff stiff

I was so disappointed with the fabric of this dress. Such an odd choice for REI to sell, as it's very heavy, bulky, and as I mentioned, stiff. I immediately returned it.
