Awesome Comfort
I love to ski. But for me ski boots always been uncomfortable and cold. I read that Apex boots could solve these issues. I was hesitant to pay $749 for a pair of boots. It turns out that it was worth the price. These boots are what they say. I now have warm and comfortable boots I can spend hours skiing without going in the lodge to warm up my feet! Their sizing is a little different so beware of that. I normally ski in mondo size 28 and had to move up to 29.
Not for wide feet, otherwise great
The idea of a two part ski boot is great and the inner boot is fantastic... BOA binding is perfect and provides a snug comfortable fit. But the outer shell is completely unmoldable, and is clearly designed for standard ahape feet with no room for variation. I have wide feet, and the amount of pinching near the heel had me limping after a few hours on the slopes. If you have wide or funky feet, these are not for you! For those with narrow or regular fit shoes... I suspect these would be well worth your money!
They just don't perform. Hard to turn the ski.
The concept and the promise was great. The performance not good. This boot does not perform as well as a standard ski boot at all. Tried them in Aspen 2 days. Was very difficult to get my skis to turn. The outer "shell" doesn't transfer your power or movements thru the cushy snowboard-like boot to the ski and binding. After suffering for 2 days at Aspen, I rented a basic pair of boots and all was fixed and perfect. The very good and experienced ski rental company manager I used at Aspen said "Those are not really ski boots." I agree
Great Boots!
I’ve skied for years and these boots are great! Very comfortable and respond just like regular ski boots. Love the double boa system.
