Almost works too well!
We took this on a 4 day camping trip to the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota. It worked wonderfully! A quick note, shut it off and leave it outside of the tent. The fumes continue to linger for a while after it's turned off.
great product works as avertised
i hunt deer all yr an this time of yr ya better have one running or if iam in a wet area i run 2 ---my favorite place to stick them when in tree stand is in my high boots ya can keep a eye on the glow to know when its out of gas (older pic) i own 3 units at this time (need to start making pads with some deer or bear scent built in like the earth scent ---kevin in south east pa
Didn’t work
So I bought this yesterday with the bag to carry that around i went kayaking and camping i got 6 huge bites on my arm and legs didn’t work

Before reaching out, could we ask you to try a few things? • Please be sure to properly insert the fuel cartridge and replace it approximate every 12 hours. Also, you should replace the insect repellent mats approximately every 4 hours (it will turn white on the top side). • To ensure the unit is working properly, please be sure that there is an orange light glowing in the view hole (… on the top of the repeller or on the brim of the lantern) • This product is fueled by butane which means it starts very much like a gas grill does. Turn the valve on, wait 5 seconds, then click “start”. It might take a few times like it takes a few times to get a grill going!
A great mosquito repeller.
I have hade mine for about a year now and my dad's has j have his for about 2.5 years. I take this every were outdoors. Wether that be hiking, fishing, or hunting, it dose it's job. It dose take a minute or so to clear out an area of mosquitoes, buti turn it off one they clear out and the "shield of protection"will stay around for 10min on a normal calm wind day. The only down side is that it is more expensive than regular mosquito spray and dosn't work instantly. But, it dose every bit as it is intended to. Also, the "refills" could be a little bit cheaper, but you can find them on sale at Walmart.

Opening day of archery deer season in the Central Virginia (Richmond) area 10-6-2018. I hunted near the Chickahominy Swamp area in the morning, and the mosquitoes were atrocious! I came down with less blood in my veins, and mad as a hornets nest! I went straight to a Walmart at lunch and bought one of these gems (MR 300). In the evening I went back in the woods, and DEEP into the swamp! I took my climber up to twenty feet high. I lit this unit off, forty mosquitoes turned into ten, then a few, and then NONE! I hung this thing from my stand on the upwind side of me, and that’s all it took. I did see five deer downwind, and out of bow range that fed for twenty minutes without any concern over scent. Attached are two pictures of the standing water, and mosquito rich slop I was hunting by. IT WORKED GREAT, and is the best $19.97 I have spent in a long time!!!! Thank you Thermacell.
Hunt Longer!
I cannot imagine taking to the turkey woods in Spring, Bear woods in August and late September/October Iowa whitetail hunts without these. It simply would not be possible to hunt as long as I do without these. They have allowed me to sit longer and pest free....enabling my boys' and I to enjoy our hunts more and have more success.
It works!
As an avid bow hunter early fall can be torture when it comes to mosquitoes. Sceptical of the product however after first use it was amazing ! I went from bites all over any exposed part of my body down to 1 or 2 bites! This product is great! Easy to use , no noise and smell so far doesn’t seem to bother the deer.
Absolute must for outdoor activities.
Several years ago my friend and I were squirrel hunting and the mosquitoes made our hunting trip a disaster. We tried again the next with the same results for me. When we were finished I asked my friend how the mosquitoes were. He said I never had one close to me. OK, what's the catch; he had purchased a Thermacell and didn't tell me about it. He wanted to make sure it worked! We stopped at the nearest retailer that carried them and I purchased one. I have since purchased two more for my wife and an extra one for emergencies. My wife and I rarely go outside without taking a Thermacell with us. They make the outdoors enjoyable again.
A MUST HAVE for any outdoorsman!
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and I could not be more pleased and satisfied! Don’t think about it just buy it and don’t thank me thank thermacell! I’ve tried citronella candles, tiki torches, the bands you wear, the green rings you burn, sprayed bleach mixture all with initial effects however the mosquitoes had become impervious to such attempts...this MR300 device has been 100% effective on every occasion I have used it and I didn’t have a small problem either, they had become so bad I would have to stop working and go inside as nothing would control them. Thank you whoever you are wherever you are to the people who invented this!

I've traveled all over N. Am, including Alaska, with my ThermaCELL mosquito repellent, and there's nothing that even comes close to keeping biting bugs away.
