Thermacell  EX90 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller

I’m from Texas and the mosquitos are extreme here. Anytime you go outside they surround you and no matter how much mosquito spray you put on it never fazes them. I was apprehensive about trying this and it actually working. Lemme just say it does work and works very well. We were in the pool and didn’t get bit by any bugs at all the whole night we swam. I'm on day 41 of a 4,000 mile journey on a Honda Ruckus, a moped. Me and gear has a weight limit of 225 pounds. I consider the Thermocell such essential gear I find a place for it at the expense of an ultralight skillet if you can imagine that. Yes I would buy it again, but I have a list of gripes Shield the control button! Better yet, put it in a close fitting case. IF YOU PACK WITHOUT PROTECTION, you will inadvertently turn it on and the battery will be dead when you use it. These are messy to use day after day. Pack it in a Ziploc bag to keep from getting oil all over your gear, and ALWAYS remember to remove and put the cap on the cartridge. Please fix so a cartridge can be left installed without mess when the unit is turned off or the battery is discharged. I don't want to have to remember to do this. I'm a senior citizen in my memory is failing. If they don't fix the leaking issue, be assured that you will get oil on your hands. Wash it off with soap if at all possible, but don't get it on your face! The oil because I think it's probably the stuff that works, but I do hope they fix the leak. Yes buy this.

It took a little while to receive. However, the EX90 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller worked really well. We deal with a lot of mosquitoes so being outside in our yard is always difficult. With the repeller, we could sit outside and not worry about getting bitten.

So I should have read more carefully. I saw that it provided 12 hrs of protection and was rechargeable. Great! Now I have received it and I realize that the battery recharges but the repellent insert must be replaced every 12 hours. If, like me, you want protection on your patio every evening for say 4 or 5 months a year ... you are talking about 360 hours or 30 refills. It's like the old Polaroid cameras that would go on sale for 10 bucks and then you were on the hook for 20 bucks for each roll of film. In perpetuity. Without even speaking to its effectiveness (I may return it), I can say that it is apparently designed for someone who goes camping for a few days each year, not for daily home use. To add insult to injury, the product page says that it comes with a 12-hour "refill." But the unit arrived without a repellent insert installed. So the one provided is NOT A REFILL.

I live next to a swamp and its mosquito hatching season. This thing is amazing i can grill with out getting eaten alive now

As soon as I received it I was impressed with the quality of material and safety precautions. And it was superb results of repelling mosquitos

We are an outdoors family and mosquitos are our biggest enemies so when we heard about this product, we had high expectations. Let me tell you, it delivered. In the backyard, next to the creek, at the pond, in the garden, on the farm, doesn't matter. This product worked quick and cleared the way. I really like the odorless take, it does warm up to disburse the repellant but its not hot to touch and it feels safe for us to have around the dogs and kids. 15 minutes to completely clear the area. Using it is incredibly simple, literally a push of the button. I already have another product in my cart to gift to my uncle who hikes. 10/10

I learned about Thermacell at a friend's backyard party about 3 years ago and haven't been without it since. in fact, I have 5 for myself and have gifted numerous units to friends and neighbors. While most people are allergic to mosquitoes (that's why it itches where they bite), I am severely allergic. If I get more than 5 bites around the same time, I will get flu-like symptoms and be sick for days. Before discovering Thermacell, I avoided outdoor events for the most part, no matter how tempting. Now I take my own Thermacell with me and enjoy any outdoor event. My only wish is that the refills be less expensive.... or at least offer better volume discounts.

We have used the EX90 several times, and have been amazed each time. Living in the south, we are constantly being bothered by flying pests! Our girls love being outside in the evening, when it cools down, but when the mosquitoes are at the worst. This unit recharges quickly, works quietly, and has shocked us at how well it work. It’s incredibly tiny and very lightweight, this will now be a standard part of our summer routine. I can’t wait to see how it does this fall during bow season!
