Great combo pack

10 day section hike. Stove never clogged. Got rained on once. I just taped it upside down to shake water ot of the holes, and it worked fine. Combo worked well for heating water in pot, then pouring half in the top for coffee and using the rest in the pot for oatmeal.

Great lite weight stove but: If you want to use the cup after you’ve used it as a lid, caution it is too hot to drink from. Also, while screwing and unscrewing burner to the gas, a lot of gas escapes!

very reliable

I bought my stove 5 years ago now and it still works like a charm. I'm not gentle on my gear (sadly) and prior to owning the Crux, I went through two jet boils. both quit working within a year. The Crux is significantly smaller, and the metal top/measuring cup is significantly better than the plastic jet boil cup. the stove is also smaller and more efficient (has fewer parts) than the jet boil counterparts. the only trade-off is it has no piezoelectric starter. but, I just carry a small lighter in the stove, and a spare in my dry bag.

Still going strong

Been using this thing for about 5 years now. It's been on tons of hikes and cooked hundreds of meals for me with no issues. Boils water within 3 minutes. Still going strong.

Long lasting, light and reliable

I've had my Optimus Crux set for 10 years. Used it all over the world on multi-day backpacking and climbing trips and it's never failed. It packs down small, weighs less than others and boils water faster than my friend's MSR Pocket Rocket. The cook set is perfect for a solo backpacker and it's also cheaper than competitors. Highly recommended! especially f

I love this thing!

I initially purchased this product due to light weight and the green trim, which I found attractive. Used it backpacking. I absolutely love this item. It packs compactly and the fuel and stove can be packed together in one easy kit. Makes digging it out of a full pack in the dark much easier

Excellent for the price point

I use this as my work truck stove, I boil water for coffee in my french press or use with my percolator pot. For either task its perfect, it boils water super fast as advertised and the adjustable burner makes percolator coffee easy. Added a electro striker to the kit and it takes up the space of the optional pan kit.

It's didn't work.

I bought this and took it camping. It would never allow the fuel to enter the stove. I tried Two different tanks.
