Not the highest end shoe, but a great shoe for the price. VERY comfortable, and easy to get in and out of.

Wow...did what I thought was thorough research and went witness ME3’s based on value/bang for your buck. Reviews seems to be all over the place on fit and durability, so I’ll add my unbiased review as well. Fit; Having what I thought was a wider (US9/EU43) foot, I had concerns the fit would be snug. Much to my surprise the length is spot on, but there is not enough adjustment in the ratchet system to get them tight on my feet. This is a first for me. I bottom out the ratchet, and I’m certain the fabric will stretch over time giving way to more space in the shoe making it sloppy. Construction; seems ok. I’ve put about 300+ miles on them and have noticed a few of the toe treads are ripping off. Otherwise they appear to be holding up as far as stitching and operability. Performance; stiffness seems adequate for what they are. They snap in my XT pedals like clockwork, and work as expected with Shimano Lateral Release SPDs. Overall I’ll hold onto to these as a spare and winter riding with thick socks, but if I had an REI close by to avoid return shipping fees, these would make their way back to the store.

Super comfortable but a little flexy

I have big, wide feet (13.5, EEE) and found that the EU48 fit pretty well. They're a little short but acceptable if I keep the ol' toenails under control. I was surprised how comfortable the shoes were but noticed the soles flex a bit under stress. I guess you can't have both comfort and stiffness for $100. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and think these shoes will work great until I'm ready to move up to some Lakes or similar. Oh, and be sure to order some cleat nuts (the little plate that's inside your shoe that bolts up your cleats). I was disappointed none came with the shoes but managed to find a salvage set.

Totally sufficient, otherwise unremarkable

Good shoe for beginner / non-competitive riders. Fit and sizing: Reasonably comfortable. I found it a bit narrow for me foot initially, but after ~150mi, it seemed to form to my foot shape a little bit. I do not recommend these for anyone with a wide foot; I leave the velcro straps super loose to avoid numb feet. I normally wear a 41.5, but bought the 42 and it fit well. The heel cup holds nicely. Durability: No problems after 900 miles an a few spills. Performance: Floppy and "heavy," as you'd expect for the price. If you're iffy about getting semi-serious about dirt riding, this is a good starter shoe.

ME3

Excellent fit....via the sizing chart. Not too wide and enough adjustment to take in the slack. Cleats are easy to install....with a 5 mm allen wrench...not provided. Excellent feel/support for shimano SPD Action/Flat pedals.....SM-SH56 multiple release mode cleat. Shoe is well made....I especially like the buckle/strap type...they did not give much of an explanation in the instructions but they are super simple....just don't pull up to release...press down. Did not want to break the bank on the ME7 so I tried these first ....and am glad I did.

Was looking for some bike shoes at a good value that seemed to be put together well that didn’t break the bank. These have been perfect. No numbness or aches. Fits like a glove.

Very Sturdy

I've ridden the trails for 4 or 5 seasons (2,000 miles per season) with these using Crankbrothers pedals and these are not wearing out; they look like the day I bought them.

Nice shoes, but...

I returned them. Too tight. That’s what can happen buying shoes online. They were otherwise great shoes, but the next two sizes up were out of stock and still are.
