Picture is misleading.

The product is nice looking, stylish, and very comfortable. With that being said, the image on TNF shows the jacket looking thick and practically stuffed with goose down. When I received the jacket, I realized that was not the case. It's actually very thin and not up to handling temps 35 F and below. For me to stay warm, I wear a shirt, a sweatshirt, a hoodie, and then this jacket. I'm very disappointed with this purchase and if it wasn't such a hassle for me to return anything with my hectic schedule, this would have went back instantly. This was a gift and even the person who purchased it for me is disappointed with it as well. He described this jacket as a "windbreaker and nothing more."

So comfortable

I wore this to Boston where it was snowing and sleeting and raining all in one week. This jacket withheld through all of the weather and did just fine. I got lots of compliments on it and it was really warm and comfortable. The hood came in handy as well, no need for me to hold an umbrella around. I plan to wear it to Iceland in a few weeks as well.

Great find!

I feel very fortunate to stumble upon this jacket! I had originally scoped out the TNF Thermoball and Patagonia Nano Puff jackets because I wanted a warm, light-weight, easily compressible jacket that could be stuffed into my luggage without feeling like I over- or underpacked. However, I quickly realized this jacket provided all of the above characteristics AND had the better fit (active, form-fitting). It also allows for full range of motion and I really like the matte finish on the jacket. As a reference: 5'5", 135lbs, avid climber, fits perfectly!

women's Stretch Down Jacket

I bought this jacket initially in a medium. I could zip it up, but it was too snug to wear a thick sweater underneath. I returned it for a large. There's plenty of room for a wooly sweater underneath. The jacket is very cozy when outside. I like it that the fabric doesn't make that rustling sound when you run the sleeve against the body when walking. The sleeves are a little long, but that's okay. It's chilly walking the dog at 5:30 am! Great jacket. The hood isn't too big either. It doesn't cover my eyebrows.

Love this down jacket!

I purchased the jacket a month ago for our cold winters in Minnesota. I am very pleased with it, it is very light, it is warm and not bulky. The hood provides sufficient barrier against the cold. I wore this jacket today to go to a North Face store and today under the sun it is -10F... and I was not feeling cold at all. I don't think it would keep me warm at temperatures of -20F or colder, but I knew this when I bought it. I am very satisfied with my 2nd purchase of a North Face down jacket.

I would definite buy this product again

My daughter loves this jacket. She ordered a medium (she was a gymnast so her shoulders are broad) and it fits her perfectly. She said it's not puffy and it's very warm and cozy. She loves to wear it in the house because she said it's so comfortable and doesn't want to take it off. It fits her nice because she's thin, but has an athletic build and the coat is cut to true feminie cut so it's not balky at all. She couldn't be more pleased!

I would buy this again

This is a great midweight jacket. I wear it all the time with jeans! I like the way the good lays flat when not in use. I get cold easily so I wear it whenever it dips into the 60s or below, but I would probably need something heavier for snow. The only complaint is that the hood is rather small so it goes to the middle of my head. It will work fine if I use a knit winter hat underneath, but otherwise wouldn't keep my head very warm.

For sure a warm jacket

I love wearing this jacket - it keeps me really warm. I've also actually been complimented on this jacket many times as well. I'd say the only flaws about this jacket is: 1) The sleeves are too long for me. I buy The North Face's products in XS, but their outwear are always a little too big or long for me. 2) Feathers tend to stick out in multiple places. I'd like to try bringing this jacket with me while snowboarding one day!

This jacket is fabulous.. I bought this jacket to wear out at footballs games when it is cold. I wore 2 layers underneath and this jacket in 10 degree weather at a eagles game. I was warm and comfortable and able to move around nicely. I also have been wearing this as a everyday jacket as well. I receive so many compliments on the style and have no complaints what so ever. I am purchasing the same jacket in a different color.

Very Comfortable

I bought this in March so I'm not sure how warm it will be during the sub-zero stretch of winter, but so far it's done great with 20-40 degree windy weather. It's lightweight and mildly stretchy so it's not constricting and is comfortable to move in. The interior pockets are a nice touch, I can easily fit my phone, wallet, and keys without having to lug a bag around.
