Worth every penny!
This is a really good boot. I love the double boot system so you can remove the liner and dry it in your bag at night when you are out on long trips, but still have a lighter/comfortable boot compared to a plastic double boot. I got the US size 13, (2 lbs-8oz per boot). I typically wear a size 12 for my hiking boots, but I went for 1 size larger to account for thicker socks (I wear a thin liner sock with a wool mountaineering sock or synthetic combat boot sock). I have logged many miles and long days in these boots and have never had a blister form or suffer from any toe pain. I still use the foot bed that came with the boot and find this to be a very comfortable boot. I have used these for long approaches, glacier travel, rock & ice climbing. I use these along with Black Diamond's Sabertooth crampons and have had no issues. As for warmth, I have never had a problem (unless I tighten the laces too much or wear socks that are too constricting that blood flow is reduced), but I have never felt that my feet were way too warm either. I have used these for climbing Mt. Washington in NH during the winter (temps around 0 F with sustained winds at 70 mph gusting over 100 mph). I wouldn't use this boot for a trip like Denali (maybe if a used a neoprene overboot). I have never had any issues with the zipper and have never had any outside moisture leak into the boot. The quality of construction and choice of materials makes this a solid boot, nothing seems cheap or fragile.
