Rated 2 out of 5 by from REI Women's Rain Jacket I actually purchased this jacket about 2 years ago? I bought the Briar Rose, size small. It fit well and I received compliments. The problem is that about 1.5years ago, the hand pockets and pocket in chest area broke. I am not one to abuse clothing and do not carry keys in the pockets..just sunglasses and maybe gloves.. All the pockets have netting and netting ripped so I do not have pockets. The zipper also broke off so I am now left with no way to zipper up the jacket and no pockets. I am searching for another rain jacket. At least I know now what to look for - strong pockets and strong zipper!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost right I bought this jacket during the anniversary sale and it arrived quickly. The blue jewel color is beautiful and the size small fit pretty well (5'6, 130 lbs) with the hem covering your bottom. My only complaint in fit is the sleeves were really long. I loved that it was really light and very breathable, especially in Hawaii where it is so humid. I think the jacket probably does well in light rain. I stayed pretty dry for the first hour I wore it but then it started raining harder and I found that it soaked through a little in my elbow crease and around my hands. I work outside where I can be exposed to rain for 2-3 hours at a time and needed it to be able to sustain a little more. I think it probably works great for people in transit but not for prolonged exposure.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute but NOT a rain jacket I went to New Zealand in April and two cyclones came through back to back. While hiking up to Rob Roy's Glacier, 6 miles round trip, it started pouring as we neared the top. Within 15 minutes my elbows were starting to get wet, then my back.... I took the jacket off to cover my backpack, which had my camera gear, and it was useless as a raincover. I was so wet it wasn't funny. This is good for sprinkles or short spouts of rain, but is NOT a serious rain coat. On the other hand, it looks awesome. I had it in aqua and my hiking buddy had it in purple. Looked great but this coat is not for serious rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket! Bought this because I needed a light windbreaker, turns out it is perfect for the warm days while I am kayaking and the cold hikes on top of volcanos! Super comfortable and has plenty of pockets, yet is not bulky at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight rain jacket This jacket is perfect for what I want - a light weight jacket to keep me dry when hiking or camping. We got caught in a sudden storm this past weekend while camping and had to work in the rain and some hail to restake our tent. The jacket kept me dry but breathed well. It also washed well. I got it fairly dirty while dealing with the tent (I have the sunstruck color, which made the dirt pretty noticeable) and the dirt washed right out. Looks like new. The color is pretty bright, but as friends have mentioned - it will be easy to find me on the trail. I really like the built in brim. It gives the hood just enough shape to keep it out of my eyes without being bulky. The weight is good - it won't weight down your pack. It won't keep you very warm, but I knew this going in and intentionally bought 1 size larger so I could fit a heavier layer under it. Overall, I think this is a great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I hoped for: Convenient, dry & looking good Needed a jacket for travel and everyday that would could roll up and be stuffed in a bag in case of rain. This jacket looks great and has kept me dry when needed. The hood is well designed and stays in place even in wind. Material is thick enough to work but light enough to pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weathered Boston with a flair! I bought this jacket as a last minute buy the night before leaving for the Northeast and I am so glad that I did! The weather was all over the place but this jacket handled it all with ease. Extremely light and very packable, yet it held up thru cold rain and wind. And it was very easy to layer under for added warmth. I am so glad I had this jacket with me. Where I live I don't usually need a heavy jacket so this serves my lifestyle perfectly. I would buy it again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Rain Jacket! I purchased a men's and women's rain jacket for myself and my dad for our trip to Alaska in August. We were able to layer our fleece with the jacket to keep warm and it definitely kept us dry. Loved the cap styling on the hood! Great jacket for a reasonable price.
