Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm and lightweight The thumbnail photo shows the jacket. This is the hoodie, which is depicted in the color swatch photos. I work outside, starting at around 5:30 in the morning when it's pitch black and freezing cold. This hoodie is the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe. Being central Texas, it's rarely colder than 30F, but pre-dawn cold is rough. This little hoodie keeps me warm without being bulky and limiting my range of movement. The measurements for the XS are spot on, as is always the case with Arc'teryx clothing. The packing bag is stitched inside one of the pockets, so I never need to worry about losing it. When the day warms up, I stuff the hoodie into the bag and toss it in my purse. Love it. Would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Extremely Warm! This jacket was my camping go-to this summer. I had a really thin sleeping bag while camping up at Garibaldi but had this jacket on while I slept and it kept me so warm... thankfully, since the mercury dipped! Perfect for layering under a waterproof jacket on cold, rainy days. I love how the whole jacket fits inside the tiny little bag, which makes it perfect for travel or backpacking trips. I chose the Thorium over the Cerium because it is more streamlined and less Michelin man. I have to say that this is one of my favourite Arc pieces and I always try to find an excuse to wear it! A note: jackets with lighter colours (ie. pink tulip, seaglass) the feathers show through. This doesn't effect the performance of the jacket in any way but for aesthetic purposes you might want to go for a darker colour!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and light! It is a lightweight jacket. And it's plenty warm for 40-50's degree weather. I had another jacket similar to this one but it didn't have a hood. The hood came in handy on rainy days! It is also nicely styled for women. It comes in a bit at the waist which gives it a bit more form. I ordered an xsm being 5'2" and 105lbs. And it fits great. I think it is a very versatile jacket and would highly recommend it. I have only worn it a few times so can't tell how it will hold up over time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very lightweight and extremely comfortable. I have worn this jacket almost daily for the last 5 months in temperatures from +5C to -29C with variations of 2 to 4 merino wool layers underneath and my much loved Theta jacket on the coldest of days. What I love most is the comfort and weightless feeling of this jacket, you can easily achieve a full range of motion without restriction. What I hate most, and I know hate is a strong word but justified in this case and that is the lining on the inside of the hood and neck which feels like ICE touching your skin in temperatures below -5C. I learned very quickly not to get caught without a neck gator and lightweight beanie to create a barrier between my head/ears/neck and the fabric. Trust me, it is a shock when that fabric touches your bare skin on colder days! The cuffs are great on the days you don't need heavy gloves/mitts. I found it tricky to get a seal between glove and cuff. The cuffs are too bulky to tuck inside the top of the glove and too narrow to go over top of the glove. All my long sleeve merino base layers have thumbholes so it really wasn't a problem to keep my skin covered completely, more of a mild irritation. The fit is true to size. I have a medium in this jacket as well as the Theta which it fits under comfortably. I am 5'8 and 147lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect packable warmth I bought this jacket during a recent sale and it has already proven its worth! In addition to wearing it to work on cool Phoenix mornings (yes, the mornings do get cool in Phoenix in the winter), I took it on a chilly (40 degrees) multi-pitch climb and it kept me warm all day. It moved easily with me through cracks, slabs, and even a chimney pitch. Packs down to a easy, lightweight little roll in the stuff sack included. Have not yet tested it in wet or sub-freezing temperatures. Suspect a shell layer would be necessary in these conditions if you're cold-blooded like I am.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Light weight, great jacket! Its warm, and has wide enough shoulders for women who actually do climb and have an athletic build. Works great alone or when layering. Worth the price, and completely satisfied with my purchase. I researched various different companies before buying a down jacket, and this is definitely the best option I found.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super toasty Arc'teryx Hoodie This down hoodie is amazing! I've had it with me in -5°F with a 20°F windchill and felt comfortable. I'm about 5'6" and around 130, but bought a large with the intent of being able to take off a long sleeve under layer without unzipping the jacket in cooler weather - so I have more than enough sleeve length and overall length of jacket. The jacket is longer in the back than it is in the front and I have yet to feel the dreaded spine chill. Sleeve cuffs are very basic but surprisingly durable so far, I thought for sure I had ripped the fabric by the sleeve after getting caught by gear in my pack reaching inside. It packs into a built in pouch in the left pocket with a super handy draw string with a friction adapter - final size packed into the pouch is a couple inches wider and taller than a standard wide mouth Nalgene bottle. The hood has less fill per stitch gap but doesn't feel any less insulated (again, I have a lot of long hair though), and it worked great under my ice climbing helmet. My only complaint would be that the zipper pull on the main part of the jacket will slide down very easily if it's not zipped to the very top. With that being said, the zipper is light weight but again, more durable than it looks. One other design improvement for the future may be to add an elastic drawstring with friction adapter (like on the one on bottom edge of the jacket) to the hood. I have long hair and top buns are more easily controlled when hiking, so being able to keep the front of the hood tighter around my face would be great for when a cold wind whips by. Both of those opportunities for improvement being said though, those are very minor things and were not a surprise during adventure usage, as I had noticed both when I tried it on. Overall, I'm very happy with the investment and would stick with this style for this poofy of a puffy hoodie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, it was worth it So horrified at the price, so in love with how this coat felt trying it on. After looking at all the pack-able downs, decided I valued a hood and this color more than the less expensive options. Haven't taken it off since. Perfect for days that are just cool, and days that are freezing. Easy to move around, warm from top to bottom, doesn't hinder sledding/hiking/driving/walking. Highly recommend.
