Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect mate to the Sub7 hammock Dyneema is incredibly strong and I thought of making my own system. Don't bother because this suspension system is worth every penny. Instant setup and nothing could be more easily adjustable. The dyneema slides easily through itself to just rexactly where you want it and locks firmly into place. At the same time it's effortless to loosen when you unweighte it. It's that classic Chinese finger trap - the harder the pull the tighter it gets. No fooling with knots or anything else to get the hammock hanging where you want it. With the Sub7 hammock you will never leave home without this rig !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wh-a-a-a-a-t? Yay! It's a hybrid of a diy hammockers tree strap and a whoopie sling! I like the youTube clip with the cutie in the pink fleece jacket. The infinite adjustment and lighter weight of this system surpasses the other suspensions offered by ENO by a moonshot. It's not idiot proof, but it's close. The lack of need to tie a simple hitch helps busy people, numbed by the daily grind, into the hanging community with less hassle. If you can't get a hammock diy freak to make you a decent suspension for half the price, get this.- and you're done. Good Job, ENO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for getting that perfect hang These straps are great for a few reasons. They're light, adjustable and tree friendly. They take note from Whoopie slings in the cottage hammock community. These are some of the lightest straps on the market and I'm pretty sure the lightest commercially produced ones. They also fit in the stuff sack with my ENO Sub7 making for a sweet combo of UL. They are adjustable which means you can really play with positioning instead of being stuck in a weird spot on a daisy chain type strap. The straps include tree huggers which prevent the straps from digging into trees which is giving hammock hanging a bad name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightwight and Simple! These straps are great! They're super lightweight weight, simple to setup, and take up no space. The way the straps adjust allows for more precise tuning then the standard straps that only have loops to use around every 2 inches. I highly recommend these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design! Whoever thought this up is a genius. I'm used to using old fashioned straps and since buckles .. but this is way better. Best way to describe it is that it is like a nylon rope with a Chinese handcuff ... you know, those little toys that you stick your fingers into but can't pull them back out. In this case, you simply pull the rope to tighten and it stays there ... until you relive the tension and pull it out again. Supper easy to use and very light. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hammock Straps, ENO Helios Got these in a ENO sublink system. Have had slap straps, atlas, and therm-a-rest straps. These little monsters are awsome. Didn't think they'd do the job but they did. May need something different for huge trees but these will make it on most. They are light weight, easy to use, and pack up small. Worth the price. Use something else for real double use hammocks as these are rated at 150lbs x 2. Worth the extra bucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super quick to setup, nonstretch, and packable. Unlike other straps these really don't stretch at all so you don't have to compensate for sag and you won't find your butt on the ground. Adjusting them is RIDICULOUSLY easy and quick. You just have to gently slide the rope where you want it, possible with one hand. It's really near telepathic compared to the straps with multiple loops. The wide strap that holds the tree is nice too, protects trees from being damaged and grips the bark well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and easy to use I picked this suspension system because it packs so small and is lightweight - the difference is drastic! I want to use it for camping, but also to throw in a backpack or purse when I'm out and about. It didn't disappoint! It was a bit confusing to figure out how to use it vs. the normal straps, but once I got the hang of it it couldn't be easier. Definitely recommend.

Is each of the two sections 8 ft. or is that the total of both pieces?

I purchased a set of these and was surprised to see each strap says warning don't use over 150 lbs!  A typical hammock hanging at 30 degrees gives full weight of the occupant to each side - not divided across two sides.  So unsafe for 150lb person?

Asked by: Baroque
This suspension system is designed to hold up to 300 lbs.

Does this system require carabiners?  Are carabiners included?  If not, could you recommend an ultralight carabiner that would work well for this?

Asked by: kallie
Carabiners are typically included with ENO hammocks, not the suspension system. If you have a different brand hammock you are welcome to purchase carabiners to make set up easier.
