Super light, works like a charm
Really like how small the Helios straps pack up for how much tree span they offer. For those having issue spanning between shorter sets of trees, simply wrap the webbing an extra time or two around the tree before looping the line back through and it will solve the challenge. The adjustment itself works like a charm and isn’t complicated. I wish these ultra light straps from ENO came in other colors!
These work very well!
These are essentially "whoopie slings" and the price is on the higher end of the scale but I wanted these right away and I was able to get them off-the-shelf at the local store. They worked exactly as I expected and make adjustments SUPER easy. They work like chinese finger traps where the more weight you put on it, the better it holds. They are strong, light and the first thing you should upgrade on your beginner hammock setup.
Great system if you use a ridgeline
This is a great system to lengthen your tech between trees however you will need to use a ridgeline (~83% length of your hammock) in order for the hammock to have the correct sag. If you do not install a simple ridgeline then the system will not work at shorter distances. Overall, you should be using a ridgeline when Hammocking. If you don’t, that’s probably why you don’t like Hammock camping As for this product, it’s a great suspension at 13ft for each side and a total weight of 6.3oz
Worth Every Penny
The ENO Helios XL Ultralight Hammock Suspension System is a game-changer! This setup is incredibly easy to use, making it a breeze to adjust the length and tension for the perfect hang every time. The ultralight design doesn’t compromise on strength, and it packs down small, which is ideal for backpacking trips. I love the extra length provided by the XL version, giving me plenty of flexibility when setting up between trees that are further apart. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight, reliable hammock suspension system!
Great quality, lightweight, perfect length
I originally got the standard version of this, but those were way too short, so I got these XL ones. Much much better! Great quality, easy to use, lightweight, and the PERFECT length! I no longer have to find trees that are extremely close to each other.
Not up to par
These straps are aweful. They are cheap and don’t hold up. I used mine twice before they failed to hold tension. Ended up camping under the stars in my pad due to the straps failing miserably to do their job. Get the Atlas straps
Excellent Tree Straps
Allows for easy setup and to quickly adjust hammock for the perfect hang while being very light weigh and packable. Wide straps help prevent damage to bark and the extra length definitely provides more location options.
It works, but there are far better ways
I will say, they did the job they were supposed to do, but adjustment is not always easy. Sometimes I would have to stare really closely to know which rope to pull and which one to take tension off of to adjust. And then if the trees were too close, I did sometimes pull the rope too far and it would run out of slack where it loops through the straps that wrap around the tree trunk; I would have to then dig at the ropes with my fingernails to get it to loosen up. The way it attaches to the skylite hammock did always work, but I didn’t like that it felt a little “proprietary” and that you had to use this specific suspension system. Also, I’m not sure if the system was just getting “broken in” or not, but there was a small section next to where the ropes thread through each other that looked thinner at the end of my trip than I thought they did at the beginning. Overall, they just are not as obviously durable as other systems, and I since didn’t like the ENO SkyLite hammock either, it all got returned when I got back home.
Not for everyone
Purchased recently for a recommendation from a friend for lighter/smaller hammock straps. They are lighter and smaller but not easy to use. The dyneema rope part is very delicate and I feel like I’m going to separate it catching it on the ground. Unless you have the perfect diameter tree it is not easy to wrap correctly with good hang angle and tension works for some people but I prefer the kammock python 10 UL straps
Lightweight, quick and easy to use.
Very lightweight, quick and easy to use. Planning to replace my current ENO hammock straps with these. They are super lightweight. I haven’t had a chance to use them, but meet my expectations so far.
