Bullet proof
I actually have the 10.6 duratec and the only difference is this will handle a little more weight. Everyone says the board is heavy but the difference between this board and a glass board like it is maybe 5 pounds or so and you will not notice it once in the water. Others complain the bonding seam is rough. just file it down, it is plastic over foam and files down easy. The board is a great board for someone who knows there family and friends will be rough with it and bang it around. There is nothing better than sharing the paddleboard experience and these boards are affordable and can handle the abuse they will get. It is a great all around stable board for most open water and river use. I also have a really nice Yolo 12.6 TR tour race board that is apples to oranges to this board, but again what will you do with it and who will use it. If you have a large family or have a lot of lake parities this is the board for you for many reasons. if it does get a ding, it will not crack or puncture and is easily fixable. If it does get banged up you are not baning up a really expensive board. The other option is HIGH quality inflatable board as they will also handle the abouse this can take but they are not nearly as stiff as a hard board. If you really want a beautiful light weight planing hull board like this you would be proud to hang on a wall and but affraid to share, spend the money and get a Three Brothers wood board r a Yolo board. If you want something that you can share with friends and family, you cannot go wrong with a BIC Dura-Tec. Pro- Fun family and bullet proof Con- non as the board is intended for a market that is not expecting 1500 dollar board performance from a 800 or less dollar board.
