Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Weather Protecyion I was looking for a 3 person tent. I really prefer a tent that is comfortable for 2 and perhaps adding in my golden retriever. This tent meets the need. It is a roomy 2 person in my opinion but that's what I was after. I was in the BWCA this past 3 day weekend and the rain came each and every day. The big plus was we were able to set-up in dry conditions. We did not get wet at all and the gear was totally dry. Also, the vestibule provided a spot for the Duluth Pack, and it was dry as well. Set up of the tent was simple and in my opinion it provides great stability in the wind. If my opinion changes, I will update the review with any changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light as a feather, convenient, easy, reliable I bought this tent last year and LOVE it. It's light, easy to pack and unpack, and easy to set up. The feet can be a little fiddly but they're worth it. We filled it with two average-sized adults, one child, and lots of gear, and there was still room to spare at our feet. Also works well for very tall people. The double doors are a huge convenience. My only real complaint is that when exiting the tent, getting *up* over the edge that keeps water out and simultaneously *down* under the vestibule can be very, very difficult- especially when you're carrying something with you (or pregnant). I wish the vestibule unzipped higher or opened wider when it's pegged down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Room with a view! This was our solo journey with our new 3P Losi tent. We wanted more room and WOW that's what we got. The headroom, BIG double doors, great ventilation and roomy vestibules made this a great home away from home. The roll-up carry case is a nice touch too. Our only complaint is that it didn't come with a hot-tub accessory so we could soak our tired feet :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short and Sweet Whats bad first, I am giving it 4 stars because it is not perfect, great but not perfect. The bagging system looks neat but it is silly and wastes lots of material weight while simultaneously making it impossible to split up between people. The floor could be a slightly thicker fabric (by the footprint to mitigate this!). Other than that this was a lovely tent that held up in demanding conditions in Canada's high country. Great space to weight ratio, no durability issues, easy to set up and drop, and lots of creature feature. I am very happy with my purchase, I usually buy heavy 4 season and convertible tents but this tent rounds out my collection nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent - Brilliant Warranty I bought this tent several years ago online and have used it throughout Australia - often in very hot humid climates - it has always served me well, with plenty of room (I am 6'2"), excellent vestibule space, double entry and it stood up well in storms - however the seam sealing started to come away from the tent - I contacted Nemo and after a few photo's and with very little grief they replaced the tent - brilliant service and support - I simply can't recall receiving backup support like this anywhere. I am now trying to find reasons to buy more of their product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tent for the weight/strength/cost ratio!!! Losi does it right. My wife and I were looking for a backpacking tent that would be big enough for us, our two crazy dogs, and still have room for the packs. This tent definitely exceeded our expectations. Livability is 5 out of 5. You could easily fit three people and their packs as well. Construction Quality is 5 out of 5 so far. Withstood 15 mph winds and moderate rain all night like a champ, even without the guy lines tied down. The tent didn't even move or leak (used with the footprint*). Tent Ventilation worked great. With having two wet dogs and us, it never got 'stuffy'. The temperature was between 65° F and 75°F, so we didn't have an issue with being to hot or cold. The door zippers seem small and potentially could get caught in the material. I made sure to take time my using the zippers. Tent Setup is ingenious. You can tell the designers spent time getting this right as tent setup can turn into an arduous task. Packability is different than most I've seen. Especially, since the whole tent roles up and has two cinches. It took me an hour or two to get warmed up to this design but now I think it is very practical. The stuff sack has compartments for all the components, and yes it even the poles fit on the first try. You could fit this inside your pack depending the length of your trip or strap it to the outside with no problems. Personally, I strapped it to the outside and put a trash bag over it so it wouldn't get wet. The weight is nice for the size of tent. I had no problems with the weight on our five mile trip. I would take this on a ten to twenty mile trip in a heart beat. Miscellaneous information worth noting is the vestibule area. Both vestibules have room for two packs. We put a pack at each end and still had space to cook with a JetBoil. The footprint definitely did its job. It attaches nicely to 'jake's foot'. You can tell when the rainfly and footprint attaches properly by an audible 'snap', which boosted my confidence when it was windy and raining. Detaching it was a breeze too, I just wiggled down and it came undone. Really, the only negative thing about the whole entire tent is the zippers as I previously mentioned. And believe me, I was constantly asking my wife about complaints because the both of us have a high demand for standards due to our adventurous lifestyle. All in all, this is the best tent not only for two people and two dogs but for the weight to strength to cost ratio! Hands down. Mahalo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from super light and plenty of room I own a Losi 2p but wanted more room for canoe trips, basecamp etc. This is truly a 3 person tent.Large double doors, plenty of headroom and at just over 4lbs with the footprint great for portaging. On it's maiden trip we were tent bound for 2 days, and woke to 4" of water surrounding the tent.We were completely dry inside. I love Nemo products and will recommend them to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable & cleverly designed tent I have had this tent for a month and it performed extremely well on our recent Scout backpacking/hiking weekend campout. It was very easy to put up and take down after a little practice at home before the trip. Being an engineer I really like the organizer that holds all of the equipment and it facilitates compressing with the exterior straps making it easier to store in my backpack. The various integrated reflective features made it much easier to setup on a very dark and windy first night. It handled the 20-30 mph winds with ease. The 2nd night was much calmer and I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to no frozen condensation issues as I had the previous month in a different tent. My son & I appreciated the extra vertical room created by the seemingly unique pole design that pushes all four sides out creating more interior volume. The smooth curved "pushout" above the door was one of the reasons I selected this tent. Many competing designs have a protruding fly-pole centered over the door for weather protection that as a over 6' tall person sometimes catches me in the face when trying to enter those tents. I would like a slightly larger fly-door opening on this Nemo but that seems to be common with the back-packing type tents. As with most so-called 3-person tents this is a very comfortable 2-person tent. There are a few inches of clearance all the way around two large sleeping pads so they should stay dry in a storm. Our pads pushed down the sides/door openings when oriented as suggested to get 3 bodies in it. Someone needs to put a stop to this industry's capacity mis-labeling issues but I was aware of this going into the purchase. This is a well-designed and manufactured product. I am very happy with this tent and am looking forward to having many years of more comfortable experiences with this better-performing equipment.

Can this tent be packed into the Osprey Atmos 65 backpack?

Asked by: Ryan Rhodes
The Losi LS 3P can fit inside the Atmos 65 vertically. The tent cannot fit inside horizontally. You could also remove the poles and lash them to the outside of the pack and carry the body and rainfly inside the pack. Another option would be to lash the entire tent to the outside of the pack using the sleeping pad straps.

Is there a footprint available for this tent? Thanks.

Asked by: lightsource
NEMO recommends using the Losi 3 footprint with this tent. We expect to have stock of this footprint in early February, 2017.

One reviewer of this tent said that with the rainfly on the tent there were 'no views.' I am assuming that you can roll up the rainfly (and there is some cord/clip to hold it in place) so that you can look out the screen and the wonderful woods.

Asked by: Klaloch Camper
NEMO did not specifically design the rainfly on Losi 3 to be rolled back for star gazing. That said you could use the hook and loop pole wraps on the rainfly to roll the fly back if there is no rain and the wind is calm.
