Overall very good tent with some nice improvement Few changes compare to the 2024 model : 1. Just one line with daisy chain loops instead of 2 but it removable. I don't understand why?. It is a really great feature and having it on both side would have better especially for a 2P tent.. Now my partner and I won't be able to hang our stuff on our side of the tent.. 2. No over head storage just the foot one.. SUCH A SHAME I loved that storage. 3. Bye the mini tiny phone pocket on the side, and hello the proper size pocket which is very nice. 4. the rain fly isn't curve anymore, which didn't really matter to me. 5.The storage bag quality is WAY better.
This is the 7th Nemo tent that I own, and can really see the evolution of the hardware, fabric, and design that went into this. Very well thought out tent, too cold yet for me to take it outside but I immediately set it up in my living room. I got the 2P, and the only downside is that since I am a big guy, this is more like a 1 1/2P. I use rectangular and bigger sleep pads, so for one person it is just fine but you would have to use tapered or mummy sleep pads if you were fitting two people. Love the subdued colors scheme and subtle labeling. Would love to see them come out with a 3P version, then I would have the perfect oversized 2 person tent.
This tent is almost perfect until they changed the pole attachment design. Used to be able to do fast-fly setup with the footprint when it was a grommet style attachment, but now you must set up the tent first before the fly. Such an unfortunate design flaw because setting up in the rain used to be easy to keep dry when you cold set up the poles and fly first into the footprint and then get under cover and set up the tent. Otherwise the tent is fantastic. Great features and nice room sturdy design. I love the gear tub storage. Happy to have this tent but just wish they considered the ability to fast-fly when y want a simple shelter of jus the fly; to get out of rain or to make a simple shade shelter for midday stop. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this tent tho because of this missed opportunity that used to be an option for this tent
I like the weight of this tent. It's a bit thin, but you have to sacrifice material thickness to get the weight down. Which is what is needed for backpacking. I took the tent out of the carrying bag it comes with because that is way too heavy/bulky for carrying on the trail. I put the tent in a compression sack and kept the poles separate. The factory carrying bag is perfect for use on a kayak and bicycle though, and is durable. I love that the poles are shorter. You still get the same outcome as the longer poles, but it's nice to have the packability of the shorter poles.
Only one night so far in this tent, vented very well, kept warm with temp in the low 30s. This is the first tent I have bought in over a decade, and the material does feel thin. However, with advancements in technology I am surprised at the innovation of the materials. So far holds great tension and does not feel it will rip or wear out easily. Packs down very nice and light and feel this will be a great tent for my future trips.
Just bought it and have only set it up in my living room, but super easy to set up, perfect size for what I was looking for. Can't wait to use it.
