Great carry-on bag!
I purchased this several weeks ago to utilize as my carry-on bag for a week-long international jaunt. I looked at numerous other packs and bags after realizing the several other laptop/backpack type bags I possessed were not ideal. Plenty of organization for all of my needs and the pocket organization was excellent. I carried a tablet magazines, backpack batteries, noise-cancelling earbuds, neck pillow, empty water bottle, snacks and an ArcTeryx Fortrex hoody. I had plenty of room left and the bag compresses down when it is not full. It is light and rugged. The quality is top-notch. This was my first Osprey bag and now it won't be my last!
Awesome Pack!
I use this pack as an Every Day Carry. I love it for that purpose. The internal laptop sleeve has an attached "paper sleeve" that I love for organization. The handle on the top is sturdy and useful. As always with Osprey, construction is TOP notch. The front pocket has plenty of organization from some mesh pockets to pen holders and zippered storage as well. The pack works great as a carry-on as well. I have traveled often with it and love it. I can PACK this thing full. Overall, nearly a perfect school/EDC/travel bag. BUT there's only one issue I have with the bag and that's that it's advertised as a "trail" pack as well as "urban". Being an avid packer, I had to test it out on a week long series of day hikes. I found it to be really lacking in the trail category. It has a lot of space, but the back/shoulder support is not great - not bad, but not great. The biggest issue I have is with the waist support. As most daypacks (including my kestrel 32) have really sturdy waist support, I had a lot of problems getting the weight of this pack to rest on my hips with the flimsy, removable waist cord. But, I doubt most are buying this pack for that reason anyways, so I don't think it's worth docking a star over. For it's purposes - as a member of the "24/7" series, this bag goes above and beyond. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

My Everyday Pack
I am on the road 5 days a week. Usually I am home at the end of the day. However there are those times when I have to spend the night away from home. This is primarily why I purchased this day pack. In it I carry my daily essentials, but also what I need for a night away from home. There are many packs I could have chosen. The reason I chose this one is because it is not only because it is the size I need, but also because of its excellent organizational features. Not only does it have two side stretch pockets for storing a couple of drinks, it also has two additional outside pockets for organizing and storing the many small personal items I need to carry on a daily basis. One of the outside pockets is just that, a pocket. The other pocket has separate pockets inside to store things like pens, note pads, phone, flash light and extra batteries, my pocket knife, and a few snacks. The pack also has a stretch cord on which I can cinch down a jacket or rain coat. There are also outside attachment loops on which I can attach items that may be too big to fit inside my pack, is: a walking stick or tripod. The main compartment has two large pockets located at the rear of the pack that can be used for a laptop ( or hydration bladder should I decide to carry it for weekend hikes ) On the inside back is also a stretch mesh pocket in which I always carry a multi tool. There is also a stretch mesh zippered pocket in the main compartment located on the inner front of the pack. This one I use for my first aid kit. Now, the main compartment is just large enough to carry my toiletries kit, a few extra items of clothing, my camera and an extra lens, my Bluetooth speaker, my Snow Peak Trek 700 Pot and Giga Power Stove, and a small pouch that has some food and coffee in it. This pack carries all of that with a little room to spare. It is just right for what I need it for. Plus, its an Osprey. Made here in America with a lifetime warranty. Who could ask for anything better?
BEST BAG FOR THE BUCK
Have had my Quasar pack now for a few years and it is by far my favorite pack. Spacious, comfortable and reliable. Especially for the urban traveler with survival in mind.
