Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Halo headband was recommended by a friend on my competitive riding team. He sweats like a pig - enough that if I'm drafting off him my cycling glasses are totally blurry after 10 miles. Asked him how he prevents 'eye burn', the feeling you get on a hot day of cycling when sweat is just pouring into your eyes, and he recommended Halo. Picked up this adjustable version at REI, and put it to the test this weekend on an 80 mile ride (3:45:08 time!) with the team. Wasn't too hot, so wasn't a real stress test. But I can attest to the fact that not a drop of sweat passed the 'seal' to fall into my eyes. Good enough for me, works as advertised. Happy to recommend this to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price point is exceptional value for what it gives I ONLY bought this because it fell in with what was left over with my REI dividend. I was not expecting much. . . BUT MAN. . . how & why did I go so long without this headband! I use to have a rag when I was on my indoor trainer, but now I do not need to use it. Outdoor rides doesn't cause the red eyes that it once did. Its lightweight and it does not interfere with the helmet at all. On the indoor trainer, I put wireless earphones on and wrap the excess on the back of the band to give more freedom for range of motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! I perspire more than most women, to the point I'd have to wring out regular headbands. Halo is a great product, sweat now stays out of my face. So worth it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works pretty well This thing works pretty well. It was a little tight, but I have a pretty big melon. It stays in place very well and absorbs sweat. I never had a problem with sweat in my eyes and I set a PR the first time that I wore it. While it was not responsible for my PR, I know that I was sweating because I was toast after the ride...so it obviously did it's job. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great! Got sick of sweat burning up my eyes. Gave this one a try and it's been awesome. I have virtually no problems anymore. One of my teammates tried this one as well and was equally happy. Won't ride without it now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sweat Deflector After seeing some of my riding buddies wearing the Sweatguard caps, I wondered about something like that for myself. I didn't want a full cap because those just seem to be too much material, holding heat on my head during the hot California months. Voila, the Halo Headbands! I ever realized how annoying it was to have sweat ran down my face...over my shades and on to GPS device...until that stopped happening! The headband did exactly what I wanted--wicked the moisture away from my eyes. Halo Headband totally made my bike outings a much more enjoyable event!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product. This really works. I sweat a lot and stinging eyes really interfered with my vision while riding and running. This really gets the job done and is thin enough to fit under a helmet or running hat, even for guys with XL heads like me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headband My wife and I love the HALO headbands. They absorb and dissipate a decent amount of sweat, and for heavy sweaters like me, the silicone band forces excess sweat towards the temples keeping it away from the eyes. Two Notes: First - This headband is one size fits most. They fit great on my wife who has a small head. However, my hat size is 7 3/4 and these do not fit me. I use the ones that tie in the back. Second - These are hand wash. My wife likes to throw these in the wash, but I usually pull them out before they hit the dryer. Last month, one made it to the dryer and the silicone band shrunk. While trying to stretch it back out, the silicone band snapped in half rendering it useless.

Does it cover the ears? I'm looking for a headband that covers my ears in the cool weather. My ears are sensitive and I want to start running outside in the cooler temps. I'm a novice runner.

Asked by: Ljhrunner
This headband is not designed to cover the ears, but it can be worn over the ears if you prefer it.
