Rated 4 out of 5 by from No frills, no leaks I just wore these on a backpacking trip where we had a couple of real downpours. They work like a charm, keep you totally dry. They are loose enough to pull on quickly over other clothes and still allow freedom of movement, without being overlarge clown pants. They are a good triangulation of price, function and weight. My only con is that they need a better waist cinch. You can't really tighten them and keep them tight and that little stretchy cord does not seem made to last. But on this trip, with my pack on and the hip straps over the pants, they were fine. Pocket access slashes would be nice as well, not a huge deal but very handy to have. Overall, a good buy and they keep you dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants for rainy day bike commute I ride my bike 2 miles to the local train station every morning, which I take to my office in San Francisco. I needed a pair of pants that I could slip on over my slacks and could pack down into my bag (small messenger bag). These pants are simple, no pockets or extra zippers. The Velcro around the ankle allows me to slip the pants on without taking my shoes off. So far that have kept my perfectly dry through several rainstorms, and I'm able to easily commute in business casual clothes in the rain. Exactly what I bought them for. I am 6'1 150 lbs and the medium 32" fit great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great rain pants. This is my second pair of these rain pants. My first pair were lost with my luggage when I was flying home from the west coast. All I can say is that these rain pants did what they were intended to do, keep me dry, and they did so comfortably. They also did a great job blocking the cold winds during late fall hikes. I also like the durability of these pants. They held up well during my time on the trails. I know that they aren't the lightest out there, but they are light and compressable. I do have one complaint about them this time. The pair I received this time had to be returned because of fit. Even though I bought the same size as my last ones, this pair fit on the small side, especially in the waist. They fit extremely snug when I put them on over my hiking shorts. There was not enough stretch and there wasn't enough draw cord to do much of anything with. The rise on the pants were on the low side too. I upsized and they fit just fine now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The pants kept me dry and warm! The pants saved me in Minnesota downpour. Never had Gore-Tex (Omni-Tex) pants (never needed before) and was pleasantly surprised by their quiality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent pants Good waterproof pants but are a bit baggy. I bought an M size, as that's my size for every other pants, but these were a little baggy (though the length was okay).

Are the pants vented and can they be put on without removing your boots?

Asked by: Bear Claw
The Rebel Roamer pants do not have any vents. They cannot be easily put on without taking your boots off.
