Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for grilling to your BioLite Stove I purchase grill at same time I got my BioLite Stove. I just used around the house to test and use 2 slice of bacon. Grill has slated open drop to the hole so any grease the drop from the grill with slide down. That means it will be burned clean. Flap it easy to open and you can stick little longer than stove height so that makes easy to add more twigs. Cleaning was relatively easy. SOS help to clean up grill and rest. This grill is three part and easy to clean all surface you want. Well build and easy to clean It is not the most portable items to carry on backpack but for car camping and backyard grilling it is perfect grill to be used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More than doubles the stove's usefulness We bought the Biolite camp stove as a safe alternative to a campfire, with small children in the camp. It is great and useful, but using anything more than just a pot or small pan is nearly impossible. We finally went in for the grill attachment, and we LOVE it! It makes the stove so useful. We can now cook a large variety of meals at the campsite. The only downside is the difficulty of clean up. It is stainless, so stuff wipes off fairly easily, but the underside of the grill rack is difficult to clean because of the shape, which I'm sure they designed for strength and minimal weight. It's a trade off that makes clean up a bit more difficult, but the product is still super useful. We would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice grill! This grill worked great! I used hickory wood chips in my unit. It works kinda like a smoker grill. my burgers cooked in 10 minutes and had a nice hickory smoke flavor. I tried some thick chicken breasts also and they cooked in about 20 minutes. It cooks meat very evenly due to the screen beneath the grate. cleans nicely also. you could burn hickory, mesquite, cherry, or applewood chips in it for whatever flavor you are looking for. there is a learning curve on keeping a constant supply of heat. a small handful of woodchips every 4 minutes worked for me. I give it an A+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect addition to the Biolite stove Works perfectly. The cover DOESN'T break if you put it on and take it off correctly. Put the large top part on first, click it down and the bottom circle slides on easily without stretching. I've used it for brats, burgers hotdogs and steaks and it does them all nicely. The hottest area is 1-2 o'clock positions and gets cooler as you go around so it's perfect for cooking on one section and keeping it warm on the other side. If the grill gets too hot open the center cover and it cools off. It really is a no brainer. Biolite did their homework on this one and it's a hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Grill Ever I was already a big fan of the BioLite and this grill has sealed it for me. The best thing I ever bought. Works awesome. Cooks the best burgers I've ever tasted. If you used drift wood on the beach, it smokes the food great. A bit messy to clean up if you let the juices run down into the grill. Don't cut the meat on the grill. It attracts tons of attention. I find myself praising it over and over to strangers. Maybe I can get a sales commission. If you are considering buying this, DO IT! You'll be thankful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good grill I have used this numerous times both at home and in the field. Have cook burgers, veggies, pork chops and steak. If using woods such as apple or hickory, you get some really nice flavors. Clean up is a bit of a pain, but, if you can rinse it with water and then put in the dishwasher when you get home, all is well. I did learn that when cooking a lean cut, such as flank steak, it needs some external source of fat, so a little bit of olive oil here and there helps. All in all, a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Addition to Have With the grill attachment I cooked perfect steaks. I was impressed with how evenly the steaks cooked throughout. I had been concerned that there would be either too much heat or not enough heat and they wouldn't cook properly. Not so. It was just as easy as cooking on the grill at home. The grill isn't very easy to thoroughly clean while in the field but you can put it's plastic cover on until you get it home again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Grill The Biolite stove has been a great 'novelty' stove (mainly for ambiance in backcountry areas that don't normally allow fires), but with the grill attachment, this has become a full-fledged cooking instrument! Grilled some sausages and chicken to perfection. Just need to keep your attention on it (i.e., don't get talking with your beer...). Excellent little portable grill that will have lots of people amazed.

Looking to see if anyone has any information about the legs on this grill. I love the idea of this accessory, but would like to know more about the 'sturdiness' of those very thin looking legs.

Asked by: Leroy1318
So long as you're on a flat surface (picnic table, sand) the stability is excellent; the connection between the grill and stove is very secure.

I've heard someone imply that with the grill attached you can use this in spite of fire restrictions preventing the use of open flames. I assume that's wishful thinking...?

Asked by: nc10
We do not recommend using this stove where open flames are restricted.
