Great Helmet
This is a great helmet. Sits around the head and not just on top. Smart look and light weight without the BMX look. Best for mountain biking. Needs to have better rear adjustment device so you can adjust while riding. Good price and a great product.
Crash test approved
I'm glad I bought this helmet. I was looking for a helmet with more coverage than my older Giro mainly due to a change in my riding style to more aggressive trails with drops, jumps, log rides, etc... I used my dividend to buy this otherwise I'm not sure I would have spent this much money on a helmet. First ride with the new helmet paid off. I'm certain the addtional coverage provided by this helmet kept me from getting seriously hurt. I took a header off of a steep drop and landed 8 feet further down the trail with the left side of my head/hemet striking the ground first on a rock. I got my bell rung, but aside from a sore neck I was fine. The helmet fits well and doesn't move around on the head. Also seems to be well ventilated. Other than a slight dent in the side of the helmet, the foam stayed intact so it should hold up well if I end up on my head again.
This is a great fitting helmet
I have a large head ... 24 and some fraction. No brag, just fact. Most bike helmets just barely float on the top of my head. This helmet will actually still be in the proper place for the second hit or side smack. Its your brain ... get the best helmet you can afford. Then get a nicer bike with disk brakes.
great helmet well built but returned it
I wish they would make the strap shorter so it would fit a women. The helmet itself fit fine. The strap was the problem. It would fit a man fine. I would not say this is a unisex helmet.
