Best Rain Boots I've Ever Worn!
The Campers
While I can't say enough great things about these boots, I'll try! I wore these boots just about every day from November to March to work outside in wet and windy Pacific Northwest weather. These boots are unbelievably comfortable and not just comfortable for rain boots, but for shoes. They offer plenty of cushion and support, and they move well with my feet when I walk. I have found myself reaching for these before my other shoes, and have been wearing them to run errands or to go shopping. I am a woman with a thicker calf and found the men's Ultra High boot to be a much better fit around the calf than the women's Ultra High boot and I am left with plenty of room to tuck in my pants. They are easy to get on and off and I just hose them off when they get really dirty. While this isn't a con or a complaint, I do wish these boots came in half sizes. I normally wear a women's size 9.5-10 and I wear a men's size 9 in these boots (the 8 is too small and my toes touch the front of the boot, but the 9 is on the big side) I can, however, get a good, comfortable fit with a thicker sock. I'm a big fan of Bogs and have a couple pairs of the women's mid boots (Le Jardin and Tuscany) which I love - no doubt about it. These boots, however, are my truly my favorite cold weather/rain boots ever!

Great fit, warmth. Questionable construction.

I love the fit and warmth of these boots, and my feet never got wet. That said, there's a bead that joins the rubber upper with the sole, and that bead separated within a week of buying these. There's a cavity of some sort between the upper and the sole that collected water -- a nuisance, but a particularly smelly nuisance if you use these for any sort of farm work. I swapped them out for the "Bogs Classic High Rain Boot," which are a little shorter and lack the nifty handle bits. I hope, though, that they'll use a better construction method.

worth the money

I bought these as additions to my winter hiking/walking gear, I live in Ellensburg and often hike the steppes of the Cascades. It is often snowy and wet, and there are run off streams in the thaw periods, these bogs work great. I've owned other styles of Bogs before and have relied on them. This style is new to me but have proven as good as my first ones. The only note able difference is they are heavier, but not overwhelmingly so.

I thought rain boots should be waterproof

Garbage, don’t waste your money. I bought these 3 years ago, I know that seems old but... in the 3 years I’ve had these I have only worn them maybe a dozen times. In other words they probably have less than 20 miles on them, probably a lot less. I have not even begun to wear out the soles, and for me that’s really saying something because I’m a fairly big guy and it does not take me long to kill any shoes. The left boot leaks water to the point that if I’m standing in a shallow creek doing some fishing, I can pour out quite a bit of water after an hour. I think the last time I fished with them I poured out about a pint. The last rain I wore them in my left foot was drenched. Oh well on to the next brand I guess

Bogs boots

These boots are great I first tried on a pair of a friends and knew then and there I wanted some. They are maybe too soft for hiking but here in Vancouver Canada you need rubber boots that are also warm. The boots are a touch heavy for performance purposes but for slip on ease and muddy trail dog walking these are great! I would work in the yard in them but they are not suitable for job site work. (No steal toe or shank) Love these boots.

Warm, durable, gets snow in top.

Really like these except for the very wide opening. I'm 5'10' and 160 pounds so not the biggest dude in the world but even with carhartts and thermals tucked inside these are wide enough to readily allow snow in the top. We just got a foot of snow here in colorado, and mucking around with my son and clearing the driveway proved to pack quite a bit of snow in my boots. Snow was deep but even shoveling and clearing the drive got snow in the boot. Exactly what I was hoping for in terms of warmth and durability--they even stayed warm with melting snow inside--but just bummed they allow so much snow inside! I'll stop rambling now.

Very comfortable, not too hot

These are very comfortable boots and I was pleased to find that they don't make my feet too hot. The only reason I would not give 5 stars is because the first pair I had leaked water into the space between the sole and the bottom of the boot above the sole. My feet did not get wet but there was always an annoying squelching noise as I walked. The replacement pair seem to be fine.

My Friends were right

I bought a pair of classic ultra highs because the soles on my 40 year old Sorels were getting slick -- and I wanted some boots that work in cold, snowy Colorado. I bought 1 size up on the recommendation of several reviewers and friends, and I am glad I did. The bit of extra room allows me to "sock up" and still allow the insulating qualities of BOGS to work well. Also, it makes getting the boots on and off so much easier -- when all you want to do I head out to snow blow the driveway or get the paper in lousy weather. I bought black, but I do wish this model had been available in a dark brown. Other than that, I like the fit, easy-on/easy-off, warmth, and traction.

Good insulated, waterproof boot for awhile.

I bought these boot about three years ago. I wear these comfortable boots in the winter and wet weather to walk my dogs. They have always kept my feet very comfortable. However this year, both boots split where the top rubber meets the reinforced toe. Now my feet get wet and cold. Debating about whether to buy another pair.

Boots you won't go wrong buying!

I purchased these boots for my 10 year old son for the winter and spring months here in Ohio. He has a wide foot and in between kid and adult sizes. I went with an adult size because we don't mind if he has a little room for growth.. They fit him nice and indicates that they are comfortable,. In the past we would buy our son a winter boot from LL Bean and another rain boot for spring. The Bog boot serves both seasons for us and reduced the amount spending. These boots will be passed down to his younger brother who also has a pair. I will continue to purchase these boots for our kids as they grow. Great boot!
