High quality jacket, very nice fit
Love it! My daughter calls it her “cosy jacket”. It keeps her warm and nice during New England cold winter. The hood is large enough to fit a hat underneath which is very nice to add extra warmth. Great quality, very nice fit (took size 5Y, she’s 4y4m, it’s a little big this year but wanted it to last for 2 winters), very nice color. Highly recommend!
Excellent Coat for picky kids
Ordered a size 10 for my almost 10 year old daughter. She is 70 lbs and approximately 4' 6". The fit is perfect with space to grow and space for layers underneath. It is exactly what we were looking for in a winter coat for a winter trip to Montreal. In fact, she wore just a t-shirt under it one day on accident, but was warm and no complaints. It is high quality, comfortable (not stiff) and feels like it will last a long time. I wish I had found this coat earlier for my other kids.
Lovely Coat
It’s hard to find a puffer style jacket that is truly waterproof, but this is it! Will work great for winter in the PNW. Only caution is that, as others have said, it runs small compared to other Reima products. Which means it is true to actual size. I bought our normal Reima sizes and they definitely won’t get multiple seasons out of them, so best to size up if that’s how you like to use them.
Excellent jacket
I bought jackets for our 8 yo daughter and 7 yo son. The jackets are amazingly warm, comfortable, and stylish. I love that Reima takes care in using materials that are safer and durable. The waterproof feature makes this a true must have. We sized up 2 sizes so I would say that this jacket runs large, but I find it’s best to check the size chart and reviews.
Cozy and Stylish
Love this jacket for my soon-to-be 6yo. I actually ordered a size 7 so that she can get two seasons out of it. The sleeves are a bit long (I fold them up) and it's roomy but fits perfectly fine. The purple color is unusual and pretty and she seems very cozy. I will see how it holds up in the wash etc. but out of the box, it's great.
My 4-year old loves it but…
My son loves the color and it’s lightweight too. The size I bought is 6Y with just a little extra length in the arms but just enough length down over his hips. I was surprised that it’s not that big or maybe my son is tall for his age. We still have yet to see how warm is it this coming winter.
Better than Patagonia
Thes are excellent products, doing everything they need to do while pleasing my highly-sensitive kid and (best of all) they're not American. The boots go on easily but don’t flop around while running. The coat is durable, waterproof, warm, and squishy enough to comfortably wear in a car seat.
Paimio Waterproof Jacket
Purchased for my grandson to use at wilderness outdoor camp. Also, purchased waterproof ski pants. Used and tried in cold temperature. Perfect for cold weather. Can not comment on waterproof material since the product hasn't been used yet in snow.
First timer- hooked
What a great jacket. My little guy is toasty warm, and the hood is a great size. It completely covers his ears and extends forward the right amount - sometimes I find hoods too short. This is a great jacket. Well definitely keep repurchasing.
Well made
The jacket is soft and we like the high collar. My kid wish there’s a resting pocket. The detachable hood doesn’t come off as easily as the other Reima jacket we got two years ago. Overall, this one is well made!
