Lost mine and replaced it quick as I could!

It would be cool if there was a way to fold down the collar and snap, but really I love this vest either way! I lost mine weeks after buying and knew I had to replace it as soon as I got home, and replace in Larch! So light, careful the wind doesn't carry it away! I haven't wanted a vest for ages but gave this a try as I run hot, and it has converted me! If you are between XL and XXL, get the larger, it will be better for layering and flexibility, I did and I think it is why I love it so much. I don't feel stuffed in it, but it makes great fluff for adding to stuff sack pillows. You'll need more though, as it packs down quite small.

Light weight option for warmth

Took this little vest on my first ever bike packing trip and the nights got colder than I expected. My summer weight sleeping bag was not enough and I found myself using this vest to keep me warm at night while sleeping. It worked absolutely great and it stuffed easily into the nooks and crannies of my panniers. On the nights I didn't need to wear it, It made an excellent pillow while in a stuff sack. I washed it when I got home and it washed up well-looks perfect still. I am usually a size medium, and occasionally a size large, depending on how I want something to fit. I ordered this in a medium and it fit perfect. I am 5'8" and about 150 pounds with a relatively small upper body.

Lightweight vest for high output activities

Great for XC skiing, cold weather hiking, or cool walking around town. Very light weight and easily packable. I run hot when running, so this is too warm for me. I have wide hip and a small waist and the medium fits great. its not tight on the hips. Loving the giant zipper pockets.

Love this vest!

This is a great lightweight mid layer. I got this vest because I wanted a warm mid layer without down and a hood. This checked all the boxes. I have loved using it for alpine and backcountry skiing, and snowmobiling. My only complaint is about the poor quality zipper. I have another OR vest that I've had for 15+ years. It has a very substantial zipper. I highly doubt this zipper will last even half the time as my other one. OR, please go back to using sturdy zippers! The weight saving is tiny compared to the durability and longevity of a good zipper.

This rules

Love love love the color and weight and feel of this vest. I got the yellow and it's such a great pop of color in my v e r y monochrome/desaturated hiking clothing color palette. I run hot, but this has been a great addition to my wardrobe during the wet, cold spring we're having in Washington. always forget to check the cut of the item before buying it on OR, so I got a large at first and it was too loose-fitting for my style but I returned it for a medium and am super happy with the cut. Shipping was very fast both ways.

Very thin. Over priced

Very thin vest with minimal insulation. Not worth the price.

Really nice...could be better

I love this vest (and the jacket/hoody version, too), but I have to take one star away for the lack of a chest pocket. To me, that's a major flaw; I need that chest pocket for easy access to my phone, chapstick, map, etc). If I'm wearing a climbing harness (often), the side pockets are useless. Please add a chest pocket! I'd also love a hood on this vest. Otherwise, great colors and fits well.

Mostly great

Love the fit, lightness and double inner pockets. I do have one issue: I ordered a white one, and when wearing darker clothing under this vest, I notice that the the color of my other clothes shows through the sheerness of the white shell. Still a great, ultralight piece for layering and maintaining core warmth. If I'd chosen another color I'm sure it would have been perfect.

Comfortable, Light, and Warm

This vest is lightweigh and very comfortable. A great length and overall fit. It doesn't poke my face around the neck (like many other vests or jackets). I purchased the sulphur for it's safety visibility. I am 5'8" & 140 lbs and the size Small is perfect. I gave it a 4-stars instead of 5-stars because I can see the down/fill material through the outer nylon fabric.
