Love this vest. I am always looking for a good running vest. This one fits the bill. It is light weight, fits great and warm on cool mornings. I love all the Swiftland line and this does not disappoint. Great for temps down to 40 ish with a warm layer underneath. Another REI win. I bought a medium but switched for a large just to get a tad more length on it. Fit in shoulders and chest not much different between the 2 sizes. Very flattering fit.
This lightweight vest is great for everyday wear when the cool night air of a New England summer makes its presence felt. This type of vest has been the holy grail that I have longed for…my size is hard to come by…previous versions ran small or were too heavy for purpose. My quest is now complete!
I love everything about this vest except the length, it was too short in the torso. The weight, fabric, and pockets on this vest are amazing. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep the item because it was too short.
The fit and the material are *chef’s kiss*. My online shopping addiction truly peaked when I pulled this out of my mailbox. I cannot wait for the temps to drop so I can run through the streets of my town in this for every long run workout.
This is indeed a good weight for a running vest. And I’ve found myself wearing it around the house as well. It has lots of useful pockets. My main reservation is that the chest pocket really isn’t quite large enough for my iphone. And when I put it in another pocket the whole vest is thrown off kilter. Still this is a common problem I’ve had with most light vests and wind jackets.
The REI Co-op Swiftlander vest was everything I would want in an insulated vest for active sports - it is lightweight, insulated in key areas but not too much, and breathable. It also has a trim profile which I like. But, it is way too short in the torso so I have returned it. I hope REI adjusts the length and offers it again next year.
Lightweight and easy to wear under coat or jacket without adding bulk.
I like the simple style of the vest for extra layer. It’s light, packable, and practical for travel.
I was looking for a light weight vest to add pockets to my wardrobe. I have a smartwool vest that I love for the cooler months, but it doesn’t work in the warmer months. Gosh darn, do I need pockets all year round!! With this vest I can carry ALL THE THINGS and enjoy the snug hug a vest brings. Plus I look wicked, sweet when I wear it with a tank top!
The vest is perfect for airline travel. Thin with several pockets and packable in a side pocket. I am a senior and weigh 133 pounds, 5‘2“ tall and purchased an extra large, which fits perfect. My daughter is going to buy one as well.
