I've had my eye on this Dawner Vest in Quiet Gray since it came out, loving the overall look of it. I'd read the reviews and product details so I knew it was lightweight, but I plan to wear it more as an indoor layer than outdoor so I decided to give it a try. I took advantage of a promo to purchase it and as anticipated, really like it for its look and color. For the price point though, I was hoping it would be a little warmer and that the outside finish would be a little sueded/softer - hence the 4 stars. I am 5'6", ranging 145-150 lbs, 36A bust and 33" waist and my usual Stio top size (M) fit me well. I am small chested so there is extra room in the chest area but it fit nicely enough overall and wasn't tight in my hips when I zipped it up so I'm keeping it. Did I mention how much I love the gray color? That had a lot to do with me keeping it.
I love this vest. Similar to the Glide Tech Joggers that I got, I wasn't sure how much I would actually wear it and turns out the two of them are now my go-to combo. I am not a very curvy girl so this fits me perfectly bust to hips. I live in Tahoe and thought this might not be warm enough to be worth wearing on a regular basis but I've been loving it!! Perfect for winter/spring/fall running and nordic skiing on a sunny day.
I’m over the moon with this purchase. I believe it runs small. I usually wear a small in a vest recently purchased by Vuori. Got a small in the deep green and exchanged for M. It’s lightweight so I wear it over my scrubs at work in hospital. It’s also a great layering piece in the shoulder seasons. There is no bulk to this vest which is what I wanted most of all. I’m going to get another color.
Highly recommend this trim, stretchy, wind-stop multi-function vest. Excellent for Nordic, backcountry and resort skiing as the perfect mid layer. Just enough for uphill and cardio moments, adds extra warmth under a light puffy. Well tailored for apres-ski . Should be the perfect weight for spring, summer fall cool morning bike rides , walks.
Sorry but I didn’t like the design change and I had gotten this vest a couple years ago in the same size but now the lining was changed. I just really like the old one and guess probably this was a monetary decision. Still fits well though and I love the exterior fabric. Favorite vest before the change!
Was looking for an alternative to the Nanopuff that was lighter for late spring. This vest fits that bill and it fits well in my usual size. There’s enough room to put a sweatshirt under as well. I have noticed that the fabric snags a bit but the quality of construction is good.
The cut of the vest was too big; everywhere for me. The armholes seemed to go really low and the waist seemed too boxy for me. I liked how the vest was lightweight; this is different than my other vests. But this wasn't enough for me to keep it.
Love the vest and quality but I may need to return for a larger size. I’m 5’8”, 150 lbs, and wanted a slim fitting vest so ordered the M. I may need to exchange for a L because it doesn’t allow for anything more than a tee underneath.
The Dawner vest is the perfect weight for spring, early summer and fall. The orange color is lively and fun to wear. I purchased a medium so I could layer under the vest. A small would work if you prefer a snug fit.
I have been searching for this active vest for a long time, and found it! I ordered a S at first, bc I dont like things too tight for running, but ended up going with an XS and it fits PERFECTLY
