Sizing Notes

For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Too small

I ordered these for multi -pitch since they seem to be lighter to carry. I ordered the same size as any of my other La Sportiva approaching shoes but these were super tight. I have very narrow feet and that was not a problem but the length of it. My toes were bending inside the shoes and killed me in my first approach. I basically tried wearing them again and again but it’s seems to stay the same. I unfortunately cannot wear them anymore. Super tight and uncomfortable. But I like how light they are.

Tight in the toe box!

Love the look of the shoe but the fit is very different from the TX2 I previously had. This seems to run very narrow. I don't have wide feet - I've never had to order a wide in any shoe - but this was uncomfortably tight in the toe box. Length was right on, but I couldn't tolerate the tight fit sadly. Unfortunately, it's getting returned :(

Good and Sensitive Approach Shoes for Climbers

These shoes feel like a good blend between usual sneakers and climbing shoes than the TX4s. They definitely fit very snug but not uncomfortable. If you are used to climbing shoes/sizing down climbing shoes you'll find these very sensitive and comfy. If you are not used to climbing shoes then these may be a wee bit tight for you. I have wide feet and bought my usual street shoes size and it fits like a glove.

Very Tight La Sportiva Shoe

I do not recommend these shoes. I should have taken note to the reviews. These shoes are so hard to get into. There is not a big enough opening to slip your foot in. Once I got them on, they were so tight. They are very narrow. I even ordered a size up so that I could fit my custom orthotics in then. But even after taking their footbed out I still could barely pull them on.

An approach shoe that feels like a sock

I love these shoes! They feel like a sock on top, but still have the sole you need from an approach shoe. It's pretty much the opposite of the Sportiva Guide shoes, which are foot suffocators.

Good and grippy especially in the cave.

Comfortable shoes, true to size and lightweight. Great traction on approach and in the wet/muddy caves. Cleaned up perfectly with hose and line dried without shrinking. Great show.
