Favorite approach shoe
I absolutely love these shoes. I'm on my third pair and not because they don't hold up but because I wear them all the time. The rubber is grippy, the slipper like shoe is lightweight and comfortable. I can use the teal strap to attach them together and throw them on my backpack without the soles getting everything dirty. I will say the rubber soft so for longer approaches that are on scree fields sometimes my feet get a little tender and there's not ankle support. I've taken these shoes to the dolomites, Rocky mountains and locally. I love that they travel light
Wish they kept the old style
With the new sock like form the shoe is a tighter fit than the previous models of the TX2. When I took them out I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe and I ordered the same exact size that I've always had for La sportiva shoes. Also, it may have been a dud but the loop at the heel completely blew when I took it out of the box and put the littlest bit of weight on it. Disappointed in this model.
Great grippy shoe
First pair of approach shoes and i love them! Worked great for hiking around granite, water crossings etc. really lightweight, and good grippy sole. Ive worn them both with thin smartwool socks and without socks and they were great performers each way. Liked them so much i bought another pair in leather. In general i find lasportivas run a tad small but i like the snug fit, especially in the terrain i was in.
Comfortable!
I bought these for the Via Ferrata. They are so comfortable, like wearing house slippers. They grip, smear and perform well on edges. I am very happy with them so I bought a second pair. I did size up from a 41 which is my size in the TX4 to 42.
