Most comfortable shoe ever!
I was originally a Hoka girl until I injured one of my pinky toes. After that, I couldn’t wear Hoka at all without the shoes killing the side of my foot. I switched to Altra because they had a wide toe box that would allow room for my injury to heal. After those shoes became worn, I decided to research other wide toe box shoes, which brought me to Topo. First day was just WOW! It’s like Hoka and Altra had a baby - walking on clouds with a wide toe box. I wear these to work in healthcare where I work 12 hour days, and they are just fantastic. I’m going to get trail runners and hiking shoes next. Even though my injured toe has healed, I’m a huge fan of the wide toe box and will wear it forever now.

Update: Loss of support at around 200 miles
I already reviewed these shoes a couple months ago, but I’m posting this update since I can’t edit my previous review). I still love these shoes, but the overall level of support noticeably dropped at around 175-200 miles. They are still wearable, but I have noticed increased pain in my feet, shins, and knees. Running shoes are supposed to last 300-500 miles or more, so I’m trying to ride these out, but I’m disappointed they didn’t last longer. I love the way they fit so I’m debating about buying another pair, but I need shoes that last longer than a couple months.

Only show my toes love!

I’ve tried SOO many running shoes while marathon training. Most left my toes very sore and some bruised so much under my toenails they turned black and fell off. Until I did some research and found this exact shoe. I ran a full marathon in them and my toes were not even sore. I paired these shoes with the injinji trail toe socks. The open toe box literally made the difference of being to complete the marathon or having to give up. I will FOREVER keep this shoe as part of my running rotation. It is true to size and I got a size too big at first then had to size down to my true size of 8.5. I’m used to sizing up because most toe boxes are too narrow for me. I hope they NEVER change anything about this shoe. Absolutely perfect for a long distance runner. Thank you to REI for allowing me to size down after getting blisters from sizing up too much. I’ve finally found the perfect long distance running shoe! They can be a bit slippery in the rain.

Great for Morton’s neuroma

I used to run long races with other brands (primarily ASICS and brooks) which are great shoes but not great for me. I would develop numbness and pain around 5-6 miles out, later diagnosed as Morton’s neuroma. Hoka didn’t work much better and then I tried these. For the first time I can run 8+ miles with no numbness or pain.

Super Comfy, not that durable

These shoes are really comfortable but they started falling apart pretty quickly. I have several other pairs of different style topos and they are much more durable. I mostly wore these for daily neighborhood walks. I'm still using them after 6 months but they were wearing down after 3.

Happy toes

Fantastic shoes. It's hard to find foot-shaped shoes that aren't totally barefoot. My only complaint is that we don't have an understated color option like the Men's do (all black). The women's are all sporty looking and I need all-black or dark navy, or something.

Nice roomy toe box

These shoes are super comfy. The toe box is very roomy with nice stretchy material. Good arch support without being too stiff.

Love these!

My new favorite road running shoes! I’ve probably put 75-100 miles on these so far and I can say that they are very high quality. They’re extremely comfortable and lightweight, with a nice thick cushion to absorb the impact and a nice wide toe box, but no heel lift or chafing. Fits true to size. I bought the blue ones, and they are VERY bright, but I love them!

Just try them!

I’ve been a long time fan of Hoka shoes until I tried these Topo’s. Generous toe box, insole so comfy I didn’t need a different insole, and the slightly negative heel made these shoes feel like slippers from the first wearing! Love them!!

100% great for runners with bunions!

As a long distance runner who has painful bunions, shoe selection can be tricky. These are just amazing, right out of the box. Super comfy, wide in the toe box, but a snug fit around the ankle. Perfect!
