I own several pairs of the Phantom 2 & 3’s. They are very comfortable and work well with my custom orthotics. When the 4’s came out it was a no brainer to get them. The color choice was a big mistake. I chose the white and as true to white the first day I wore them they got dirty real quick . Toe box is still nice and wide and the cushion on these are fantastic! I would give 5 stars but my custom orthotics don’t fit that great in this pair. However, thanks to REI’s email they sent it showed different types of ways to lace your shoes although my heel is a little looser wearing at least I can get them on with the orthotics.
I have bunions that have become worse as I've aged. The topo brand was recommended to me by the person who makes my orthotics. These are the best shoes I've had in years and don't irritate my bunions at all. They have a wide toe box, but I still had to buy a wide for them to be comfortable. This shoe will be my go to in the future
Remains a great shoe for phantom 3 fans! It’s more cushion than previous generation so I was uncertain, but it’s still responsive and comfortable. True to size as with the previous gen, fitting well with secure heel and spacious toe box. Happy they came out with white to use as both runner and casual.
The salesperson who helped me could not be lovelier or more helpful! She advised, after feeling how the sneaker fit my foot, that I take 1/2 a size up. She was right. The sneakers feel like I'm walking on marshmallows. They're very nice and squishy. While, overall, they feel light, I find that I'm picking up my foot a little higher, when I walk, because of the marshmallow feel, and slightly rocker front. Also, the origin of the tongue, on my left foot, when I'm wearing dress-casual socks, feels uncomfortable on the top of my left foot. I don't have that problem when I wear cotton weekend socks (like crew sock material). My Tailor Bunion still hurts, but more when I'm sitting down. It does NOT hurt because of the sneaker!
They fixed all the negatives in the phantom 3. There is more cushion in the forefoot, more room in the midfoot and no irritation from the arch support. Nice rocker feel. I don’t know how they are for running but they are great for exercise walking. They seem a tiny bit shorter and the heel counter a a bit stiffer. Overall a huge improvement over the last model.
My very wide feet fit without my toes being squished together. Very comfy for me. Mesh helps keep my feet cool.
This is my first pair of Topo shoes. I just got them and have only worn them twice. They are very comfortable, requiring no break in time and I really like the wide toe box.
These are extremely comfortable. I have wide feet and these allow my toes the room they need. I did buy the wide.
I was not familiar with the Topo brand. I was looking at Hokas but decided to go with the Topo Phantom because of the comfort and support. Sadly, I returned them because I was not happy with the color. I didn't like the other 2 colors available in the store and on-line. I took a star off because their choice of colors is extremely limited.
Toe box is great. I prefer less cushion to help build leg strength.
