I have this pack in black as well, but the rainbow color is so much fun! It's a great pack that's perfect for short day hikes. It fits a water bladder, snacks, personal items (wallet, keys, phone, etc.), and several light layers. If you use the external pouches for water bottles instead of carrying a water bladder, you can fit more in the main compartment. The pack is lightweight, shoulder straps are soft and comfortable, and the mesh back is fairly breathable.
This bag is beautiful! I went in to the store this past weekend to do another transaction and I hadn’t planned on buying a backpack but when I saw this one in person I thought it was too pretty to pass up. I almost bought the matching sling bag and I probably still will. I have another daylite in a different color I’ve had for some years and they hold up well. I plan to use this one on a trip to Sedona and anytime we go hiking. Perfect two bottle sleeves on sides, chest strap with a whistle, gorgeous rainbow color, inside pocket with key clip and smaller front pocket. It’s really well thought out. And it goes to a good cause. For reference I’m 5’9 about 190 lbs and it fits great.
I was excited to get this bag. However, when I got it, it was already used. There was sand in the front pocket, toothpaste in another pocket, and obvious sweat marks and wear and tear on it. It went straight back to the store to be returned. The employees were shocked that a supposedly brand new product was sent to me when it was obvious to everyone it was used. There were also no Osprey tags on it and a generic REI tag. Customer service was excellent, but product was a no go. Just disgusting to get a supposedly brand new bag with someone’s toothpaste inside of it. Disgusting and unsanitary. I don’t even want to think of what I couldn’t see on or in the bag. I declined to reorder another one as I don’t want to potentially deal with that again.
Perfect size and I love the colors, pattern and material. The issue for this bag for me are all of the shortcuts inside. The main pocket is fine and can fit quite a bit for the size. The laptop sleeve is separated by a loose pouch separating it from the main pocket with no additional padding. Two pockets for water bottles are deep and tall watter bottles will not inch there way up and out even with a lot of motion. The big issue for me is the small pocket which has two undersized pockets just wide enough for a large phone but not deep enough to secure a phone and no additional zippers to ensure a wallet or keys won't fall out while pulling items from this pocket. It is a good price compared to other REI offerings but it feels like Osprey shorted the functionality of this bag and the inside feels like a much cheaper bag.
Beautiful and comfy backpack. Package was mislabeled by the USPS, and as soon as it arrived to the final distribution center in my state, it got sent away across the whole country and then back to me county again. Lost an opportunity to go hiking with it while waiting extra 3 days for it. Overall please with the quality of the product and pricing ( used my points)
