Cannondale  Junction Bike Helmet

This is one of the most comfortable helmets I've owned. I must have an odd shaped head because I've had bad experiences with helmets that are supposed to fit according to their size chart but the helmet ends up being too tight on the sides. I don't have that problem with this helmet so that must mean that it's wider than other helmets. If you have a similar issue as me with helmets being too tight on the sides, try this one!

The helmet fits comfortably and feels a little cooler than the cheap Walmart helmet I had. The only real negative thing I can think of is that the sweatband at the front is patterned so you can a real interesting mark on your head after using it; even a short 10min trip to the store will leave a mark (Florida Summer, ~90°s)

So I bought this helmet Tuesday; I crashed and survived on Sunday. I bought another helmet back in winter, but with the current heat of summer, I needed a helmet with good ventilation, which was definitely provided here. A few days later, some pedestrians ran in front of me as I was biking downhill. It had recently rained, so I slipped and crashed at about 17mph. I fell on my side, so my hip and shoulder caught most of the trauma, but my MIPS helmet definitely lessened the force that the side of my head received. I am concussed, but without this helmet, I would be way worse. I will be buying another while it's still in sale.

Used this helmet for 18 months, thought I was paying for quality and protection. It always left a mark on my forehead, but I figured it was worth it for my safety. When I was in an accident the helmet looked undamaged, but unfortunately my skull cracked and I sustained a moderate concussion. The ER doctor was surprised the helmet didn't break or crush given my injuries. For my next helmet I am getting something with 5 star crash rating from Virginia Tech. This helmet was not tested, but other Cannondale helmets aren't recommended. I looked at REI for my replacement helmet and was disappointed that many of the helmets they carry don't rate well.

Had a crash while riding this where my bike fell over sideways while on some gravel. Probably was going 10mph or so. My leg and arm got tore up and my head smacked the ground. But this helmet caught the ground on the side before it could get to my head. No apparent damage to my head or brain, thank God! Since this helmet not only protected me well, and is also very comfy, I’ll be buying another one.

I bike 1000's of miles/yr, but only with a helmet when i am with my parents and then it is an old walmart job. I almost always bike solo so I have a good view of what's coming and enjoy the freedom of no helmet and the "air in the hair". Then, a friend who is a Dr. convinced me to try a helmet and offered i go to rei to try some. I found a connondale junction in blue and tried it on. What the heck, I don't have to look at it..... In a matter of days I have come to embrace my new helmet. The doc was spot on! Hopefully it won't save my life (that would mean I was in an accident), but it just might!

I purchased this helmet on sale and really like the simplicity and fit. My hair doesn’t get caught in the interior which is a huge plus! It’s light weight and reliable.

This is an easily adjusted, lightweight, slim profile helmet. It has the newest brain protection layer in it, which you hope you never need, but it’s nice to know it’s there. Great color, too

Nice fit. Comfortable air flow. Allows for unobstructed hearing. Very light weight.
