Overall, I like the way this helmet fits. It's comfortable, lightweight and adjustable. I have been looking for a helmet that does not push down on my sunglasses, causing discomfort and pain so I want something that is secure and safe but does come down too low and this accomplishes that goal. I also want to be able to dock my sunglasses, but I don't feel this one works properly for that purpose even though it's described as being eyewear friendly. I have a pair of Oakly Vanguards and they stick out awkwardly and don't seem secure when trying to store on this helmet. The eyewear dock might work better for sunglasses that don't have such wide or thick temples.
This Lazer helmet is one of the higher rated road helmets in Virginia Tech’s test group. It’s just over $100, fits nicely including with a winter cycling specific hat and neck tube and has an adjustment wheel in the back, which is very convenient. This is my second helmet by Lazer, a Belgian manufacturer of helmets for motorcycles, skiing, etc for over a hundred years. Solid quality.
I've been having neck pain on my rides and my physical therapist recommended trying a lighter helmet. My old helmet weighed 297 grams, so when I saw that the Tonic Kineticore weighed 240 grams I thought it might make a difference. I overlooked the fine print that said that weight applied to size M. The size L I bought weighs 265 gtrams, so not as big a change as I expected. I'll be keeping it anyway, but I should have paid more attention to fine print.
Difficult to store cycling glasses on the helmet. The front vents don't allow one to store glasses.
This is the only helmet that I have found that fits my head. If I have to wear a helmet this is the only one that does not give me a headache or aggravate my chronic neck issues.
Bought this thinking it would be a good quality helmet, but it looks the same as one you’d buy in Walmart for a fraction of the price.
