Lightweight vest that is surprisingly warm. Especially under another garment. And it does pack very small into it’s own pocket.
Love this vest. It was just what I was looking for. Synthetic, lightweight, breathable and warm. I wanted synthetic because this is an active layer which means I’ll need to wash it hear and there. I wear it over my base layer while hiking. Packs down small. The left zip is a little weird for us Americans but it’s fine. The zipper garage is perfect. Pockets are good. I’ve been very happy with it so far and would buy it again.
This vest is great for spring and fall weather! Packs down well and able to fit in a day hiking bag for when an extra layer is needed. This vest is well made with quality materials, zippers, and pockets. May not work well if you're planning to use this vest for extremely cold temperatures but great for an added layer atop a long sleeve shirt. Would definitely recommend for those going on day hikes or camping trips.
Had this on a hike with me where it was just too warm, so the fact that it was ultralight and packable was a big plus. It's perfect for just that added core warmth when moving or lounging. The double zip makes it easy to adjust the fit and coverage for walking or sitting, and the long torso at first seemed unnecessary until I learned to appreciate having my hips covered and warm. Very happy with this.
I use this vest for running or ski touring. It's great at adding a little warmth and wind protection to the core while still offering good breathability on the sides. Like the rest of the vests I own this fills a niche for me in high output activities where it's a little too cold for just a long sleeve shirt but not quite cold enough for a full jacket/hoody. Very happy so far.
I needed a new vest that was 1) packable, 2) non-down (I sweat too much for down to be much use), 3) lightweight, and 4) looks good. In short I wanted a garment for use in multiple situations. This vest is perfect. It looks great, packs up nice and small, is typically good Mammut quality, and fits well. It's a narrow fit and I like how long it is.
Used this going up to Telescope Peak as my outer layer until it got too cold; have run in it and done various hiking/climbing outings in it as well. Very stylish, moderately warm, and easy to wash. I love it!
I love this vest. Hardly ever take it off. Great as a second layer for skiing. Perfect for hanging out at the bar. Thin and versetile. Keeps the core warm. Don't leave home without it!!!
wore this for 10 days if skiing and I absolutely love it. The stretchy material on the side allows you to stay warm without restricting your mobility like other vests.
Careful on sizing...I'm normally a Large in all jackets I've purchased but this one was skin tight consider a XL or even 2XL in my case.
