Everything I own is a size men's Large. I'm 5'-10", 195, medium athletic build. Ordered the Pinion vest in L and it's a tent. Fit's like an XXL. I laid the 2026 Pinion vest in Large over a 2024 Stio Environ jacket in Large. The vest is actually WIDER throughout the torso than the Environ shell. This is a quality control issue between the manufacturer in Vietnam and the Stio clothes buyer. Other than that "minor issue" the vest is a nice thermal weight and has convenient deep interior stash pockets on both sides and a nice zippered interior pocket. Exterior zippered pockets are functional but would be better if lined with a low-knapp liner with a warmer texture.
On my way to Park City to teach my 4 Year Old Grandson to ski for the first time. I didn’t leave home without it!
I originally ordered an XXL based on comparison to model shown on website. While STIO has an excellent reputation for quality clothing they also have a demonstrated tendency for garments running way small of a designated size. I'm an athletic male of 6'4" and the XXL was stylish but a tad too tight. The reorder of an XXXL reflected none of the style in the smaller garment. It was a quick cut and sew job of a potato sack. I'm sure that their thought process included "too big to leave the chalet". Quality product with minimal thought to a different demographic.
I’ve used this vest for skiing and find it comfortable and a good vest to wear with my Stio enviro storm jacket. /Users/vanstonshaw/Pictures/Photos Library. photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/0/0D698C50-EA0C-41B4-860F-B7DB0C310C91_1_105_c. jpeg /Users/vanstonshaw/Pictures/Photos Library. photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/2/2DB9AC23-1516-4560-941A-A7527ED1262E_1_105_c. jpeg
Picked it to wear in the office and to layer under my ski jacket on the really cold days. Sadly ski season ended on the East coast before it arrived, but I see it being a great layer when next season rolls around.
This is the warmest vest that I have ever had and I find that it warms up the longer that you wear it. It also is very lightweight and I do not even realize that I am wearing it sometimes.
I had been looking for a mid-weight vest for skiing, golf, and wearing in town. This satisfied all of those needs nicely and is very good looking to dress up over a sweater or 1/4 zip.
Vest in large is a great fit for a 6'0 person with a long torso. Due to not being fully black or grey it works with many colors. Started with an XL but that was way too big.
I ordered a small and even that is too big… I used to take mediums and then shifted to smalls… but your sizing is way off. at 5’8’’ and 145 pounds i shouldn’t require an XXS.
I like this vest so much I now own 3. The fit is great (large for a 6' 205 frame) and I wear them with jeans and dress pants alike. Fabric is great too!
