10 out of 10 BIBS
I have worn these bibs several times working over the last few weeks - to say these are now my favorite would be an understatement!!! Everything about them is fantastic! The material stretches and moves with you, there is no binding or pulling. The fit is spot on! The temperature was around mid 40’s and super windy - but I was very comfortable! These are the only bibs I’ll ever need!
I love these overalls
These overalls are amazing, the fit is comfortable and although they are a tiny bit too long for me, they weren't so long I was tripping over them (I am only 5' 3"). I wore these doing yard work and they were easy to move in and comfortable in the cool weather. I also wore these during late October hiking up at the North Shore. They kept me the perfect temperature. The fleece lining keeps you at a great temperature, warm but not too hot- this is saying something since I'm usually cold all the time. The lining also makes them super comfortable to wear, no chaffing of your thighs. There are many pockets of various sizes and closures to keep all your tools or valuables safe and at hand. The drop seat works, which is great if you have multiple layers on or layers on top of the overalls. It doesn't open super wide, so you do have to be a bit cautious and make sure everything is out of the way if you use that option. I can see myself wearing these often and know they won't wear out quickly. The buttons, zippers, snaps and clasps are a good quality and the stitching is sturdy. Overall a great, quality product!
Cozy, but drop seat is cumbersome
These are so cozy and warm, and the fit is great for me. The fleece lining is soft and there are so many handy pockets. However, the drop seat does not work well for me. I first wore these for a few days at home to get used to using the drop seat, and found it pretty cumbersome. While the zipper on the non-thermal version of these apparently will separate at its base, allowing the seat to open pretty wide, that is not the case with these. So the left side of the drop seat does not open very far, making it difficult to pull the seat down and squat. It's doable, but annoying. I got used to it, so decided to wear these for a day of birding on a remote road with no restrooms. I soon learned that if you gotta go, don't wait until the last minute—in my hurry to open the side buttons to facilitate opening the drop seat, one of the buttons popped off! Not critical for functionality, as this is the lowest of the three buttons on the right side, yet disappointing for a garment I had worn only a few times. As a guide, I frequently spend full days traveling remote roads that have no restrooms. I won't wear these overalls for such outings as I can "use the bushes" more easily and quickly with regular pants.
High Quality Overalls
The material is very soft, yet quite durable. I can tell these will last a long time and stand up to the elements. The pockets are large enough to fit my phone, always a plus with women specific clothing. Will buy again!
My New Favorite Overalls
These overalls are well designed, comfortable, and super functional. They have a pocket for everything. I'm 5'0 and about 110 lbs and sized up to a 6 for a looser fit and space for base layers - this was not necessary but they are still a comfy and flattering fit even sized up. I wear them cuffed. The drop seat combined with the elastic goring on the shoulder straps made them SO functional and comfortable to wear. All overalls need these features! I found the drop seat most helpful when I didn't have access to a clean bathroom or didn't want to take my coat off. The lining is warm without being too warm up to about 65 degrees for me. Loved these and have barely taken them off since they arrived. Only thing that I do not recommend them for is any kind of real hiking - I tried - but they are not designed for that. They are great for outdoor chores, farming, gardening, farmers markets, and generally being outside in cool weather.
Perfect for farming. drop seat works!
I’m a vegetable farmer and have been so happy with dovetail overalls over the last few years. this winter i decided to try the insulated ones, and they only had the dropseat model in my size. i was skeptical but decided to try them. im so glad i did! it makes it 1000x faster to use the restroom when wearing coats over the overalls. no need to take them off now. I was worried it was going to be gimmicky and not work smoothly, but they nailed it, and it is very fast to zip and unzip. They fit great, i feel free to move in anyway needed. and this model has more pockets and features than my last pair. im very happy and a drop seat convert.
New favorite thing in my closet!
I am in love with these overalls. Wonderful fit (I have pretty average proportions, leaning towards small) extremely comfortable and durable yet easy to take off in a pinch! The pockets are many and deep - I never knew I needed a pen-pocket until I had one. I don't even carry an extra bag or anything when I wear these, because there's space for everything I need day to day! I would say that two layers (or one thick layer) fit easily inside the overalls. They are thermal lined, so if you are working in warmer climates I would recommend finding different overalls, but they are perfect for where I work and the type of manual labor I do. Could not recommend more!
Nice, but need modifications to make sturdy
Purchased 18 months ago. Straps are stretched out and strap clip is broken. I had to weld the strap clip and sew the strap. I like them, but these issues need to be addressed by the manufacturer.
I love them despite a button popping off
Really warm and comfy. I'm amazing to find overalls that are practical but fit for a woman. Re insulation: they are for fall and spring, not below 30F. Re drop seat: a bit of a gimmick. It's as much of pain to unbutton everything and work the zipper in the back as it is to undo a bib. Re buttons popping off: other reviewers mentioned a side hip button popping off. Happened to me within 20 min of wearing them when I squatted down to crawl under a hot fence.
